Wasnt gonna respond to this thread but ive had numerous pm's now from other winning regs who have noticed a strange dip in there graph from almost the identical time frame as well. Theres really nothing that can be done here as we cannot show proof that people will accept because of the hand history issue with global. Ive stated my opinion and thats all that I can do I think somethings shady with global everyone do there own research. If you want play on there and then tell me what you think.

The same good ol 'curse, so powerful it transcends time, place, and games.

Funny I played some $3 HU games late last night after work with a good buzz and ran pretty good. Had a nice suckout, won almost every race and won 4 of 5 if I recall correctly. Seems like when I play drunk microstakes I run like a God...but when sober and play for decent stakes I gt slapped by variance, especially every time I jump up in stakes

Just for my own amusement, I decided to pull up the graphs of the biggest HU SNG winners on the site, based on the yearly leaderboard. All of them, in 2023, have had as expected fairly smooth winning graphs. I then looked to find the biggest HU SNG winners on the site from 2022 to see how they've been doing this year. All of them have had an as-expected smooth winning graph except for you and one other person.

So I'm curious how the theory of "people who cash out get doomswitched" can be reconciled with the fact that a majority of the people who should be theoretically cashing out more frequently and for more money than anyone else on the site seem to be continuing to run at expectation?

Don't use anecdotal evidence, use real evidence. Nobody is going to say "I'm running at expectation again this year", a lot of people are going to say "I'm running below what I'm used to so it must be rigged against me specifically"

I think the Florida casinos and poker rooms dont want online poker legal in the state and lobby(in other words bribe) them to prevent any legislation from happening.

I'm from Sarasota and was friendly with local cardroom manager. He said even if they wanted to push online poker for the extra revenue the tribes will not approve. They have the ultimate say unfortunately.

I started playing online again a few years ago, just for practice when I play live..ended up building a little bankroll, obviously much tougher today..but Im not a HU specialist like you.

Do you play anywhere online today?

That is unfortunate because I think it would bring even more players to the live games. More people having access, learning at small stakes and getting comfortable playing poker would want to take their new (perceived) skill to the live poker rooms.

Unfortunately with Florida being corrupt, backwards and currently under the spell of evangelicals who hate the idea of online Poker so our chances of getting Stars, WSOP, ect.. are nil.

Yet sports betting somehow got the green light.

Its like they only want you to gamble when you are certain to lose. We have the same thing here in Indiana.

Which is it then? Jacked up stats because they were pre-black Friday? Or nice to play on Stars? C'mon.

Any North American who can't access Stars but can access Global thinking Stars access is what they need for success in this game is sorely, sorely mistaken.

At first I didn't realize those were pre BF stats and wrongly assumed that was a current graph, hence why I said it must be nice to play on Stars... then i scoped him to find out the last time he played on Stars was pre Black Friday back when the games were much softer and the volume was much higher. It was relatively easy to make 6 figures a year playing online poker.

Stars probably had over one thousand players pulling in 6 figures pre Black Friday(including cash grinders), Last year Global maybe had 100 players pulling in 6 figures...someone correct me if I am wrong.

I have no idea how Poker Stars is now...if the player pool is limited to the just states that f--ng sucks. I just want to be able to play on WSOP!

I am a winning player...working on a small account "challenge" because I do not play full time and realize that being a full time online pro is extremely difficult in today's restricted market especially with RTA, collusion, and data mining that happens, which is also why I like to play on Global vs say ACR.

Everyones stats was inflated pre BF hokies still a solid player but his results on global are about the same as the rest of us husng regs think he wins at around 58-59% like the rest of us.

Gotcha. Your estimates could be accurate at least from a ratio POV but I don't think there are 100 regs who make 6 figs on Global. If your comparison is done to suggest pre bf stars would have been softer doesn't take into account the size of the player pool. Stars was indeed soft pre bf but it wasn't a money print for any mediocre reg to just show up and make 6 figs. Global poker during the PayPal days on the other hand, someone could have made 6 figs grinding it on the side a few hrs a night (playing like 500nl+). Global now is still ripe for the picking, look at what the top 30 tournament regs earn per year, look at how hard JeremiahW is crushing his 200k BR challenge right now. Just too bad there isn't more action!
