You sounded remarkably obnoxious but that's alright.
Tournaments have way more variance, check out this variance calculator to see what I mean -

and this one for cash -
https://www.primedope.com/poker-variance-calculator/ . It is far more likely to have long downswings in MTTs than cash, some players don't like that.
Tournaments require way more rigid time commitments. Some cash players prefer to play an hour or two in a day during the week and longer sessions on the weekend, you can't do that as easily in MTTs.
MTTs require you to learn strategy at multiple stack sizes and with ICM implications, some players would prefer to not have to do that, and only specialize in studying deepstack play.
I could go on and on but there's a million reasons why good players choose cash even if MTTs are softer. What I meant by comparable games, is if you are equally studied at MTTs and Cash, and you play $50 buy in MTTs and 50NL cash, your win rate will almost definitely be higher at the MTTs.
Truth be told though, I'm a nobody who plays 2/5 live, 50NL, and online MTTs up to $100 (MTTs being purely for fun, haven't spent any amount of serious time studying.) If you're actually curious I'd recommend reaching out to pros, coaches, streamers, etc. Many are very open to questions and they are certainly more qualified SMEs than I. See what they say.
"Those in the know say so, and sometimes that should be enough." Not always good wisdom but worth considering
