Since we have a chat thread I guess I'll join. I'm lackingaces. My only real claim to fame is I've never deposited. I decided to challenge myself to see how much I could build the free $2 too. It was pretty agonizingly slow till I won the $5k freeroll. I played for a living for 8+ years pre-black friday, so wasn't starting without skills, but still required lots of luck early to build from $2.

I pretty much play whatever sng format I feel like playing at the time from $10 to $50, or whatever is filling. Also play 6m cash when I don't feel like playing sngs.

Just play hobby/part time these days.

I do guarantee it, because it's not achievable in the long-term. My 107 sngs with 41% ROI was a ridiculously small sample size. I was running hot. You are the one claiming that you cash in 70% of your sngs, and get mad when people laugh? Provide your screen name, then. I'm sure it would be nice to prove me wrong.

And I know you misspelled slighting. It was pretty easy to assume that's what you meant given the context.

I hit a stroke of luck in the Sunday 5k. The blinds glitched/broke and didn't increase for the last 1/3 of the mtt, meaning we played it insanely deep. It took forever. It started an hour or two before the super bowl and didn't finish till a couple hours after, probably 8 or 9 hours. Tediously long but basically handing it to whoever had lots of deep stack playing experience.

Looks like you've been running good since this thread started! And your 11.8k sng sample size is really impressive.

I'm at 888 total sngs played, with 17.5% ROI, but I play a lot of regular speed both full-ring and 6-max. I just started actually grinding on 5/7, and half of my total volume is since then. Before that, I was playing a few sngs after work every few days.

I played probably 20 hypers in that sample size and got destroyed. I think my ROI would be about 20% if SharkScope had tracked sngs from 5/18 to 5/21 (I was on a heater for about 40 sngs), and if I removed those $16 and $8 hypers I punted away.

Either way, I'm probably running pretty good in these 888 games. I'm curious to know if I can increase that 17.5% by the time I reach 3k sngs played. I should know the answer in a couple of months.

Tables froze on me. Was playing hyper turbos too so obviously by the time I was able to close and re open it was too late. Sent an email hoping to get refunds and included all info I could.. Not holding my breath on a refund though. =/

Was in a nice downswing too so that was a nice cherry on top of a bad session

I play $.02/.04 ring games (NLHE and PLO), and $3.30 and lower MTT's and SNG's.

I ran my free $2 into a little over $260, and now at about $240.

Lately I've been playing mostly SNG's.

Today has been a tilttastic punt fest. Woke up, cleaned my palace, got a solid lift in, then logged in to put in 100 or so games for today. Was able to bubble the first 8 or so before getting called into work out of the blue. Got to work and the place was burning, so my Sunday scrimmage satellite and 5k freeroll blinded out. Tried to bink a hyper that I wasn't rolled for in order to have another shot at the scrimmage, but my device died just as we got 3 handed. Spent the rest of the day punting hypers and SNGs and MTTs before winning two $10 SNGs back to back to put me close to even for the day.

Some would consider that a victory, but its such a failure. These are the issues that have held my career back for so long.

On the bright side, I did manage to stay out of the $100 SNGs (after registering and unregistering a few times throughout the day), and I still have a bankroll. The graph may have taken some damage, but we're still alive

A bit of advice for all of you, don't play sick, don't play tired, don't play when you can't focus for whatever reason. Learning those lessons cost me many thousands of dollars before it really sank in. Sometimes its better and MUCH cheaper to just knock off and go watch a movie or go to sleep.

This is great advice. When I play while tired, for the sake of "getting volume in", it rarely ever goes well.

Been lurking this thread for awhile, decided I'd go ahead and post in it. My screen name is LeeRoy, been playing the $11-$55 sngs and a few mtts here and there. Been playing on Global since about October, played mostly live poker since black Friday, but it has been nice to be back to playing online.

I'm thinking about offering a prop bet to jared/serpaetetra/agorist or whoever else about who can finish first for SnG profit on the year, it would inspire us to put in real volume. If anybody has interest in that lemme know.
