You have to admit a large majority of these players where drawn to the game by shows like WPT or PAD .
Has Global tried to get a pro to associate with the site? Who knows. The flip side of that is if they tried why has none of these squeaky clean palms been greased . Even guys like Ivey or Helmuth or even a Scotty Nyguen would surely jump on the chance to make a few extra bucks ( I only use these as examples and have no clue if they are already contractually obligated to other sites)
As far as ACR and such of course nobody takes endorsement money from these sites given black Friday . Global advertises everywhere they are a LEGAL USA site so why no endorsement from USA players?
Well, here's the thing. I've, and the ones that escaped black Friday with just financial loss, have no interest in sponsorship. They are all pretty much tied in to a crypto network, running or start-up.
Hellmuth might as well be adopted by Cesear's. He and Seth are super tight and he brought 888 to the WSOP. Negs is in bed with PS. Nguyen would take $100, not sure he'd get an offer. Even Joshua Beckley, lost heads up in the M.E. isn't looking to tie with WPN. I see him playing there. The quality players are afraid and the desperate one's no one would want.
Another caveat Global has to contend with is the WSOP. Seth will have zippo to do with any US facing site really. If a credible pro would jump on with Global, or other US facing sites, they'd likely get grief or lose perks in the eyes of the WSOP. If Congress ever got off their ass and just passed a law legalizing it, pretty much every site would get pros. The scrutiny that came from Black Friday really dismayed most of them. I think sites like Global are more apt to try and grow their own, like offering a package to a live event they pay the expenses and the player wears Global gear.
Almost all of Global's advertising is with the evil empire, Facebook. Thousands of Zynga players collected the free money and some deposit and robo call the night away. One of the main guys at VGW was William Hill. What pros play with them?
