Hey -

Does anyone know the customer support number for Global Poker? I mistakenly purchased $750 of "gold coins" (worthless) and have been trading emails with a customer representative to get a refund. They continue to say that i will be refunded but nothing has happened.

Anyone have a phone number or has the same thing happened with anyone else?

I am aware of this happening to two other players, and in both cases they did refund the money. I don't know that they did anything but email support and post here in the forums as you have done.

Keep us updated and if you don't hear anything, I can send along a PM as well on your behalf if you haven't heard anything by tomorrow evening.

I guess they may need that there for regulatory purposes. They should really have a gold coin package at like $25 limit or something if they aren't going to refund players who buy the $750. Hopefully you get the sweepscash as well.

If they don't refund you request a case with PayPal and Credit Card Company.

Hey guys, this was finally resolved. Paypal contacted Global Poker and it was quickly resolved.

Glad this was resolved. For the record when you say 'finally' resolved there is 8 hours between your first post and the post where you say it was resolved!

Issues that takes weeks to resolve on other poker sites are resolved in a few days or even just a few hours on Global. Thanks for your great customer support!

I don't wish to be too harsh, but how is it possible that so many miss the glaring "gold chips only package" words?

Not that it happened in this case, but I can see that if you were brand new to Global, you would not understand the whole $weeps Cash and what that actually means.

With that said, I don't know either how to make it more clear. Maybe there could be a "Watch this first" YouTube video when someone is making a Gold Coin purchase.

On what grounds? He received the gold coins that he ordered.

It is much more likely that Paypal will close OP's account (if he indicates that he wanted to "deposit on a poker site") than that they will reverse the transaction.

So far they have been very good about contacting people that have posted here and emailed them. Let me know if in the next couple of days you don't hear and I will send along a PM on your behalf as well.

Only if they get their refund and then buy a $500 or $1k package, otherwise their $750 worth of gold coins is useless to me!

Sorry to revive this thread form the dead, but I just recently made this same mistake.

I accidentally purchased the $750 package, thinking it was for $sweepscash. Comforted knowing that the issue was resolved, I am hoping to have it resolved as well.

That sounds like a great idea. Put a watch first video and indicate why the $750 purchase is the only one available that doesn't offer $sweepscash. Not to mention the $750 option is posted along with the other sweepscash purchase options. Right between the $500 limit and $1000 limit. Where is the logic in offering $sweepscash for every purchased limit except the $750 limit?

Id like to think that people make mistakes. Why tf would someone buy $750 worth of "gold" coins anyways?

I’ll accept the **** I get for it, but i made the same mistake. My 1k got denied so I just logged into paypal separately and restarted the process with the next lowest amount, 750.

I dont disagree with the folks that say the mistake makers should actually read what they buy. Its just that I find the counter argument of ‘Who in the **** would intentionally buy 750 bucks of only gold coins?’ to be almost entirely irrefutable.

Anyway, my global SN is ArtesianWells. I already emailed customer support but I felt it couldn't hurt to post in here as well.

....btw, for those that hope me and my fellow large depositers bever leave the site, come get it.

Just kidding. I totally understand why people feel that way. Maybe I am a super fish. Ive been playing off and on for about 12 years at this point, though, and my last stint went well. I have just enough cash to take a shot at some money that would actually matter, and I dont want to grind up a roll from micro tables, assuming I could without getting horse****ed. I probably suck. I replied in your other post on this topic with what you need to do. Try not to make mulitple posts on the same topic, although I understand this is something you want resolved quickly.

Posting it in more than one place leads to confusion and hurts you not helps you.
