I am somewhat obtuse, so can you clarify then? Not being snarky - just don’t see the point being made. Starting tables sometimes gets you a fish, sometimes not, but either way once you get a table going you usually can get a decent game.

People don’t need incentives to sit at a table by themselves.

Yeah this. I'd actually like to see a limit to the number of tables that can be spawned to prevent people from infinite open sitting waiting for a fish but whatever.

The site needs some incentives to start tables or a small amount of rakeback (or incentives to net depositors) or there is really no reason to do it.

Another question for you cash game multi-tablers... what’s the most tables you can play on Global efficiently? I’ve found that 8 tables is the most I can play without timing out regularly due to the short time to act and short time banks. Once I go to 9-12 it gets a little too busy. How many do you guys play at once?

Totally agree here. As far as the incentives go, I think we’re discussing two sides of the same coin. Of course I hate that people open 3 or 4 tables and sit there by themselves - and I won’t reward them by giving them action. I’m referring more to the need to start tables in order to get more games going, not specifically bum hunting (though getting to play shorthanded with fish is a natural benefit).

Also agree with this. This will cut down on bum hunting and people should see this as a good thing unless you are a bumhunter yourself. It's not a good look when there are multiple tables of 1 person open sitting at the same stakes instead of people playing each other. Also I've noticed when 2 people are playing each other a fish is more likely to sit and play compared to just one person sitting. It's fine to open sit by yourself but they should really try to limit this to only 1 person being able to do this at a time.

If it were possible to limit the amount of tables that get spawned they would have done so when the table camping issues started at 10/20. For whatever reason, they just can't change this.

When 10/20 was here there was a group of regs that would start games. This forum was flooded with posts about how GP needed to lower HU and short handed rake because that would lead to more regs starting games. GP responded by (eventually) doing this. Now people start games even less than before. If you guys want games to start then by all means go ahead and start some.

Also, by far the biggest problem with the software is the glitch that makes a reg who attempts to keep games going post the small blind out of position. Then next hand he has to post the big blind out of position effectively getting buttoned not once but twice. A large majority of the bum hunting regs intentionally take advantage of this and it makes it too costly for non scummy regs to keep games going.

iamgto123 is the most gto player of all time, you can tell he uses a solver by the way he plays almost exactly like one, it's incredible truly!
