After being previously banned by the security team from another network merely for asking specific questions, I’m not inclined to probe much further with these kinds of people.
We *definitely* could have handled it better, but I'm glad you feel that the outcome achieved was OK. We've learned from this.

Did they reinstate your account too, OP?

think mods should change title to something like 8k dispute resolved instead of stolen

I'd rather play than have the extra money. But...well...yeah

I got banned for the same reason. Never got my money back. Was more than 8k. Last message I received was if you want to take it any further you can sue us.

Was a resident as I studied in the US. My student visa ended. Left the country to renew my visa. Got banned, had no docs to send them at the moment. Now COVID hit. Cant get back in and do anything about it.

The reason I got was I cashed out outside of the country.
Now that I see this post, I am very inclined to send them another e-mail and demand the same treatment.

I'd PM OP and ask for how he did it.

you studied in the US? That means your not permanent resident of the US though. I believe for global you have to be permanent resident. And dont play on it if your over seas. Its to much headache. My friend same thing he tried to play over seas to hard headed didn't listen to me to just play on euro site. Just don't do it. Play on another site if your overseas until you come back.

If it isnt allowed then I shouldnt be able to get verified at all. Providing all the docs including utlity bill, bank statement, licence etc, I dont see how it can be a problem. If I am in the US for 9 months a year, is it not where I am residing? Pretty sure your residency is where you live. Or am I not understanding the term correctly?

You have to apply for a Permanent Resident (Green) Card. The advantage of this is that you won't have to return to your home country to complete visa processing anymore. If you have to renew your visa i believe that means your not a permanent resident.

TOS says legal residents not permanent residents.

Sent them an e-mail with a link to this thread asking how is this any different than my case. No response, just marked as solved.

Global has banned me and seized over $16,000.

I tavel alot also and been playing while traveling. All the sudden they restricted their site around late January. Eager to play I used a vpn not knowing it was violating the TOC. Honestly, who reads the TOC? They have told me in the past email I can play outside of jurisdiction too. Now they changed their toc? It just seems unfair/unjust to block your site without any warning then tell us we can play but not redeem?? Then hit me with a bann and seize all my funds?

Ive been a loyal customer for several years playing fulltime on global and this is the first time in violation. Dont you think its a bit harsh to banned me without any warning or guidance? And seize over $16,000?

Im still shocked on how they are handling this situation. Any help on this matter would be greatly appreciated.

Thx for reading my post. Be careful of using vpn and doing anything out of their jurisdiction.

Maybe be careful and read the TOC when you're dealing with 16K

It seems the common theme with disguntled players is 'I have cashed out multiple times without trouble'

Then you are not a RESIDENT. If you do not live in the United States 6 months out of the year you are not a US resident. It doesn't matter if you own a residence. you can own a residence in many places.

You can only be a RESIDENT of one.

Sounds like you violated the TOS.

If you are a US resident you should be paying US income taxes. Are you? If not, you are not a resident or breaking the law, or you have no income.

No too bad for him. He clearly ignored and violated the TOC. Global poker is bound by laws in the jurisdiction it operates and its it just not legally advisable for them to be paying players playing out of jurisdiction. I don't blame them. You get what you get when you ignore the rules.

this isnt right. they stole over $16,000 from me for a similar reason. they are a bunch of crooked thieves.

I tavel alot also and been playing while traveling. All the sudden they restricted their site around late january 2021 then blocked my account and stole all my funds.

Prior to this Ive had no problems playjng while traveling and they actually said it is ok to play in my travel location.

Do you read thru the TOS everytime you log in to make sure they didnt change anything?

If something was allowed in the past, then disallowed bc a TOS change that isn't announced to the players, then violators should at least get a warning.

I know that they change TOS without warning because sometime between April 2020 (successful withdraw) and June 2020 (failed withdraw) I was no longer able to withdraw into my bank account because they needed to verify the ID of every name associated with the account. (My mom's name is on it because I created it when I was 16 and never bothered to remove her. Made it easy to get money from her in college too.) Support's email said "because of a recent change to our terms of service we need you to provide .....)

I can’t even imagine putting any kind of volume in on this site. It’s like the dollar store of poker sites. Just a terrible product all around. Do they still not have hand histories? Any site that is only browser based is pathetic. Even as bad as it is I still check the mtt schedule every few months to see if it’s progressing and I literally laugh my a$$ off looking at it in disbelief. There is a reason this site isn’t growing
