It would be nice if they did it the way everyone else does, i.e. WPT, WSOP, etc.

Please add some tournaments bigger than 33 sweeps. There are enough people on the website to support the minimum of a nightly 100 sweeps (5000ish sweeps guaranteed mtt) and a weekly 250 sweeps 15000ish sweeps guaranteed weekend mtt.

I am all for bigger tourneys, trust me. But I also don't know how we can say they need to be bigger than the 33 Sweeps, since the 33 plays with overlay every single week without exception.

Also, our two comments may not be the purpose of this thread, feel free to move us if needed mods. This looks more like a "Global Improvement" thread topic.

You're right about the overlay, but you have to account for the fact that there's also no last minute entries in the 7,500. You have to first play the 200 gold coin flops. If there were some higher tourneys without the gold coin requirement, I wonder if they would draw more entrants?

It might could, but I find the numbers pretty close to the same on the Saturday tourney with the 20 Sweeps buy in. I was actually always hopeful the gold coin requirement would keep more people out

There is an obvious bug when cash game play goes from 2 to 3 handed. When a new player sits (but has not yet been dealt in), the button goes to the BB rather than to the SB as it should HU. This seems minor but as it recurs anytime one of the three players sits out it happens to me 10-15 times per session.

That's true, but a lot of people, myself included, won't bother entering a 33 sweeps mtt, unless there was an absurd amount of overlay. From my experience playing on the site, I think there are a lot of people who would enter a 100, 200, or even higher stakes sweeps mtt, that just aren't playing any mtts on global because the stakes are too low.

A site like wsop.com doesn't have as much traffic as global does, and still runs a weekly 200$ mtt, nightly 50$ mtts, and occasionally runs 500$ rebuy mtts and other high stakes mtts that typically meet higher guarantees then what I've suggested here. Wsop.com has a weekly 200$ 20k guaranteed mtt.

I think that a weekly 200+ sweeps mtt, would easily draw a decent field, and probably help global increase traffic/redeposits as some people might get tired of sweeps cash games, but redeposit if they saw a mtt with a decent 1st prize.

Ultimately would the turn out be higher with a higher sweeps buy in? I doubt it very much, but we really can't know either. So no sense in debating that point to its death.

I will say one thing in this idea. If the tourneys fill and Global isn't paying overlay, I would bet they would me more incentivized to run bigger tourneys.

So it would likely be a +EV play for those who think a 33 Sweeps tourney for them is chump change, to play anyway in the biggest stake offered and increase the numbers.

What company would watch their biggest tourneys fill and say "Why make bigger ones, these are good enough" They like to post big GTD numbers just like we like seeing them. But that is a tough sell when a lower stake one can't find enough players to keep overlay from heading out the door.

This might be one of the best first posts by someone in the global 2+2 forums in a while.

Almost certainly true. It's just fun to play with people who actually engage and are nice. So many buttholes out there, on every poker room it seems.

Usually the same group of guys at my stakes all pretty cool for the most part.

I'd like to see an option to chop in the tournies when it's heads up. Been heads up in the 3500 and 4K four times or so this week. Won 3 of the 4 but still would like option to chop. Last heads up we went an hour extra zzz lol

Global, I'm not a fan of your hourly pop ups in cash games but if you're going to keep them at least spell check the damn thing.

People from other countries can play right now. They just can't cash out their winnings for the time being. And I think the website plans on other countries playing, hence the name... Global Poker.

1.) No bitcoin....everyone can you paypal...bitcoin will just make it so eastern european nits flood the site and ruin it (using vpn/photoshopped documents of course)

2.) Please get rid of that 1 hour pop up....holy **** it's annoying!

Oh, and please don't let other countries play...it'll turn into a reg infested nit site just like stars overnight. And if that happens, you lose...no way will people choose global over ignition if it turns into a regfest.

That's a requirement from Australian government or gaming commission whatever you wanna call it.

Could you make sure this gets passed on its annoying to have to scroll though 25 to 30+ games of running sit-n-go tournaments (during peak hours) to get to the games that are registering its been brought up multiple times.

Some good ideas through all these pages. Personally I'd be happy if they saved their development money for a while and invested a lot more into advertising. Need much much more activity and new faces. Otherwise I'm loving Global.
