this is just the affiliate model though, and it appears that they don't want to go that route.

Hi everyone, new here to this forum. I've been playing GP since February and I think it's awesome for us US players.

With the growth I've witnessed at GP, I'm curious if there are any plans for game expansion. In tournies there is one PLO game offered. In sng's, zero non hold-em games. There are some PLO ring games which I play in at times.

I for one would like to see some more Omaha games like PLO8 (h/l), and NL PLO and also STUD variations.

Mixed games and draw games such as Horse, 27SD (lowball), 5 card draw, RAZZ, hell, maybe even a Badugi.

I suggest these because after Black Friday, they went poof to US players. You can play them with play chips at stars but that just isn't the same.

Does anyone else think this would be a good logical avenue for GP expansion or keep it simple and just offer current games?

Good luck on the felts...

I wholeheartedly disagree. MTT Late reg sucks. More game offerings every 10 to 15 minutes would fill the time gaps for players ko'd or logging in at "inconvenient" times.

GP is doing fine meeting the GTD's with rebuy/add-on options. No need to go the crazy route of late reg for an hour or up to three hours as some sites do.

jmo, gl on the felts...

Is there anyway to save player notes or tags from session to session? Mine appear to disappear and do not save.

SwCPoker has these games and they even run sometimes. Micro tournaments and freerolls run regularly.

It would be great to have them at Global but they really need to address some of the ways the current games work suboptimally before they start thinking about adding any.

Those games barely even run on more established US sites like ACR. For example currently there are 4 PLO8 games running on ACR (and a few more HU) and the highest limit is 25PL...there is only one single 7S game running which is HU, and there are only 3 full tables of 7S H/L with the highest limit being 2/4.

Maybe things would be different on Global but it seems unlikely considering how casual the player base is.

Can we get some HU or 4-max tables in cash games?

I think PLO8 ring would do fine at Global. There are 18 PLO ring games running right now at noonthirty. I also think they could offer SNG's and do fine in both variants.

As to the other games, they were all strong MTT's pre Black Friday at Stars. I just have the .net version now so I'm not sure how many are offered nowadays.

I really don't expect them to expand that way... maybe it's just wistful reminiscences of the good 'ole days on my part.

Good luck on your felt adventures...

NL PLO lol interesting betting structure.

The omaha/8 variants will probably come. Omaha is reasonably popular and they already have the programming in place via the PLO deal so it shouldn't be massively complicated to build it out for splitting pots properly.

Stud and draw games, I doubt we will see. Stud is offered on WPN, which is the largest US facing site, and as the other poster said the games just don't run. It would be nice to see them offered at some point, but given they are completely different deals from flop games they would probably require more programming, and there's no immediate return on that investment for the site if games hardly ever run. Like it or not, everyone's about NLHE these days.

Note: I have no idea about the programming technicalities or difficulty, just speculating. Also this has all been discussed ad nauseam in this forum. Maybe the mods could merge this in with the existing thread.

Hi guys,

Thanks for the feedback. We are constantly looking for new games and services to provide to our customers.

Generally speaking this is a balance between development resources and the effect that it will have on our existing games.

We appreciate the feedback and constantly take it in mind when looking at our future mix.

I am going to merge this thread with the Improvement thread, please feel free to continue voicing your desires for game expansion there.

There are like a few really obvious/annoying bugs that have been around for a while yet arnt yet fixed.

When it goes from 2 handed to 3 handed, and vice versa, the button gets the Big blind.

When you go away from a table then come back, your hole cards appear in the top left hand of your screen and are very hard to see.

Then there is the issue of insane predatory bumhunting at 10/20 games. Not sure what global's policy is on that, but if you want that gone, then you could make some koth/zoom format or something like that.

It seems like at some point there will be some site with an open API that allows third parties to do the work of adding new games. Probably doesn't make sense for Global, who licenses their software. But it would be nice for those of us who like mixed games.

Well, it's an affiliate model. I'm not sure Global is fully aware of the potential of a one-time cost-per-acquisition affiliate model, since most of the industry uses lifetime rake percentage these days. But the three dominant sites while I've been playing - Paradise, Party, and Stars - were all largely built on CPA alone. It's kind of a no-brainer for the site, since they don't have to pay out the bounty until after the player has raked more than it.

Has anyone else experienced a $1K Guarantee event being lowered to a $750 after you registered?

You will see at the top of the client there is a 'switch currency' button. This allows you to switch between Gold Coins and $weeps Cash

If it was lowered from $1K to $750 then it wasn't a guarantee was it?

Uh... that is the wrong global poker. Hope you didn't buy any currency from that site. If you are on a phone the only way you can access global poker is from a web browser.

On the note of improvements, can we get the tables with action to pop up to the forefront like many other poker sites do? Or if it’s already possible how do you do it

Not possible as of now.

Please add a "Hide Empty Tables" option (similar to "Hide Full Tables").
