I have no problem at all for not offering RB. I understand it. It makes sense that there's no HU tables. I like it. The games are worth playing. However, I don't understand how there isn't reduced rake for short-handed and HU dealt hands. Taking $3 a hand for a hand dealt HU is criminal.

Hi all,

We have been listening to some of your great suggestions in this thread and are looking to implement a few changes for you.

In the first instance we have updated our tournament structure starting this Monday. This includes increasing the start stacks and adding in a few extra blind levels.

We believe this should still keep the tournaments fun but enable a little more play time as has been suggested in this thread.

We hope you enjoy and please keep the feedback coming!

Joey

Thank you Joey! I know it was a tough spot for you guys because these suggestions came hot and heavy during a tournament series and you'd like to keep the integrity of the series by not changing structures midway through.

Very much looking forward to the changes!

A couple of times I have had the fold call and raise buttons enabled when the action wasn't on me.

In tournaments - I also think it may be helpful to have something like "Place X out of Y players remaining" or something similar on the screen. So you don't need to toggle back and forth between the lobby and the table to check that out

Just to clarify - I was referring to this being explicitly labeled on the actual table.

Thanks for the info Joey. Is it Monday as in today? I'm not seeing the changes.

Also, can you tell us about the decision to reduce the GTD amounts? The 100 flop free roll has always been $500 since I started more than 6 months ago. Based on the number of entrants it seems like the rake more than covered the GTD and it was great incentive to play at a higher table than I normally would. The other GTD tourneys seemed to rarely have overlay this last month as well I'm pretty sure.

im gonna play more tournaments now for sure. Thanks for updating the structure and responding to suggestions

It appears it has been split into 2 separate tourneys:

Daily Gold Coins Challenge $250 GTD at 7PM eastern (0.11 buyin)
Daily 100 Flops Challenge $250 freeroll at 9 PM eastern
Daily Gold Coins Winners Challenge $250 GTD at 9:30 PM eastern (0.11 buyin)
Daily Gold Coins Challenge $250 GTD at 10PM eastern (0.11 buyin)

Not sure if there are additional tourneys past 10pm as those are the only ones that I am currently seeing in the lobby.

Note: just re-read your post and realized my post isn't 100% related to yours. But that appears to be schedule for today related to tourneys to qualify for.

Wow - they also added a $110 buyin tourney (1R1A - no guarantee prize pool) to run at 9:30 PM eastern. I know there were some people that were requesting that

I completely agree with the no rakeback and no heads up tables. However, I also agree in saying that rake needs to be reduced for heads up and short handed tables. Your rake is 2-4x higher than every other major poker site for these situations. This is a topic that's brought up frequently and never acknowledged.

Also, please require 30-40bb minimum buy ins. There are good reasons why no poker sites allow 10bb buy ins. While it's not an issue yet, be prepared for an influx of bots if the current min buy in stays the same.

Looks like the incentive is to play gold coin now for the freerolls, which is fine. I can play at my level now since .05/.10 still gets ya in the weekly. The 100
flops seems to just be once at $250 unless I'm seeing it wrong.

That $110 is tempting, particularly with better blind structures. Wish it was an 8 pm or 8:30 game tho. Need sleep lol

Tournaments are so much better now. I wonder what the maintenance tonight is updating.

This! I was too busy steaming getting sucked out on to properly compliment the improvement in the structure. It's small but it helps.

Hopefully tonight's update is increased stacks

There should really be a 5/10 nlhe/plo level. It's a pretty steep jump from 3/6 to 10/20 and it's one of the most popular levels offered literally everywhere live and online.

There should also be a few more MTTs with slightly larger buyins. I understand not wanting $200s, but having a few more ~$50 options would be great.

Otherwise, the site has been pretty good

I couldn't agree more. If you play PLO it goes from 2/4 to 10/20. They really need to add at least 5/10 in between.

What all got changed. I looked at it briefly but couldn't decipher the difference at a glance. To be fair, I didn't look that long.

They haven't changed the starting stacks yet, but they added a 10/20 level and I believe a 2500/5000 level. Not much yet, but it does help out a little. Someone correct me if I'm missing any. The buy ins have changed slightly for some of the GTD's. Thats all that's changed as far as I can tell.

I agree. The stakes should effectively double. Combine 400nl and 600nl into 500nl and add 1knl.

So 5nl > 10nl > 25nl > 50nl > 100nl > 200nl > 500nl > 1000nl > 2000nl

i THINK the tourneys that are labeled as deep-stack tourneys start with 4k chips instead of 3k chips. Not 100% sure but I think I played one on Monday with a 4k starting stack

$100 rebuy MTT at 9:30est now
07-26-2017 , 06:43 PM
i want to love this site so much but you take away heads up tables. keep allowing 10 bb buy ins which ruin the game and think this is good for the site. not sure what you guys are thinking over there. you have so much potential and choose to do nothing with it
07-26-2017 , 08:00 PM
Thanks all for the info, that is good to hear on both the blind levels and the starting stacks for deep tourneys. I did always think that 2k starting normal, 3k starting deep was a little bit too close.

Maybe they just didn't have a big enough tournament poker chip set
