Yeah i've said this from the beginning that if global actually cared about being the social poker site they claim to be, this is the most obvious change that they should make. I would even argue that the table cap should be 3-4 for cash games. I would say 95% of all recreational players play 1 table, then split from 2-4 in a decreasing %. Going by that line of thinking, even a 4 table cap already severely dilutes the rec - reg ratio, but allowing an unlimited amount of tables exacerbates the issue.
And what does it mean to be "the #1 social poker site" in the first place? I would argue that it's fostering an environment where recs lose money at a slower rate than other poker sites, where their time being entertained : dollar investment ratio is the highest. So what could be more opposed to that than allowing regs to play an infinite amount of tables? Like every other poker site, they like to give the impression that they're different than all of the rest, but in actuality they're the exact same in that they care about profit above all else. So while global says they want to be the #1 social poker site, it's all lip service.
