I would imagine they have much better techniques than a little pop-up to combat bots. Recaptcha3 was just released and can identify bots without users having to click the "I am not a bot" check-box on the website. Also, I have seen players say they they got a pop-up which asked for them to click on a button and said something like, "We just want to make your mouse still works". I would imagine they are able to track mouse movement rather easily and this is probably the biggest deterrent for botters. That said - I don't think bots are as much an issues as nits, rake, and collusion.
