Global Poker holding up withdrawals Global Poker holding up withdrawals

I write this message without hesitation. I write this message to warn others and to bring to light a problem that others may have experienced. If I don't get my $17,500 to my account, it doesn't change my life much, its about a months salary of mine. However, I know this is not the case of other players and this type of delay could very well be life changing for them.

I am a huge dog on Global Poker. Anyone who regularly plays 2/5 PLO (+) has seen me online driving the action fairly regularly under the name PSALMS91. I have on several occasions worked my way back to even or close to it, and taken a break, removing my funds from the account. I typically take a 2-4 week break and get back into it. Luckily I have a solid income to support my entertainment during losing times.

My cash out withdrawals in the past have been by the book. Roughly 4-5 business days, no interruptions.

On Labor day weekend 2021, I went on an absolute heater by my standard. I deposited $700 and by Monday Sept 5th I ran it up to roughly 20k at mainly 2/5 and limited 5/10 play. I do not like to play during my work week, so I requested half of my winnings, leaving the rest to play with the next week.

I received a successful message that it had been approved and I waited. The following Monday came around and I started to worry. I gave them the benefit of the doubt with my redemption day being a holiday that it backed my request up. I continued playing with my remainder. Lost a few K, took my usual break and requested my second withdrawal.

At this point a few days go by and I request an update from Global poker on this. Almost immediately I get notifications of failed redemptions and Global Poker does not respond to my requests for several days.

I am no online poker conspiracy theorist. I do not believe online poker sites rig run outs or otherwise target certain players. However, I have a serious inclination that Global Poker wants nothing more than for me to keep my money on their site knowing I'll be back on soon to blow it all.

To this day, I have $17,500 in redemptions that are not in my global account and have not been deposited to my bank account. It has been 22 days since my requests.

There was an issue a few weeks ago affecting a small number of prize redemptions, which were failing to process correctly after approval.

You can see a post from 13th September here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/1113007912133282 and a reply from me about it, including confirmation that the problem had been found and fixed on 14th September.

Most if not all players who had reported this issue have resubmitted their redemptions since then, and successfully received them.

The timeline suggests something like this may have happened to you. If the SC have not been returned to your account, please email support and ask for it to be escalated to the General Manager, referencing this thread.

Be patient...DJmoneybags had like $70k on global and it took weeks for him to get his $ back but he eventually got it. Keep in contact with support

From what I learned about the DJMoneybags situation was that he lost all of that around Thnaksgiving weekend last year to Minnie playing HU 10/20 and was having trouble depositing because he hit his max. This is actually a great example of a player (who I have played against a bunch) running up a stack, and global delaying the withdrawals so the player punts off their stacks. There is a pattern forming.

How can you punt off your stack if your balance does not contain the amount that was withdrawn?

They approve withdrawals (redemptions) and then claim the ACH transfer did not go through, which then the $ replenishes in your balance.

So was it this…

And what happened when you did as David Lyons suggested? (the head of Global Poker who’s helped many including myself)

Read his posts. He only lost half of it playing HU PLO...but HU PLO swings will be insane. He cashed out the rest

Hope you keep us updated and you get all your money out. I have yet to see a case where things are not resolved favorably to the player in the 4 years I've played on this site.

Btw, how is disclosing your monthly salary at all relevant to a withdrawal discussion?

Hope you get your money!

I mentioned my salary and in that same paragraph mentioned why I am sharing this info. It is not a life changing sum of money for myself, however it could be for someone who reads this post. My point of the post is to bring light to the topic of having large winning sessions and have GP delay or hold withdrawals. GP has incentive to keep as much money on their site as possible, and having large withdrawals delayed and making players jump through hoops to get their money is something that other players should be sharing if they encounter to protect their fellow players. I appreciate you giving me a chance to answer to your insult.
