Great. Now I can't even verify that my balance after the session is right. Neither can I verify that hand distribution is fair. Nothing. I should just believe to GP to do it right.
I cannot properly review my hands.

Common people. This extension did nothing beside giving me an opportunity to keep MY hand history, nobody else.

Question: if I will right mine own software to go to hand history and grab the data and convert it to PT4 format. Is it going to be illegal as well?

I mean this is just next level of absurd. Go ahead and just delete goddamn hand history completely, why to even keep it there.

I realize you don't want to do anything for regs. I am fine with it. But not to let me keep my own hand history. This is just something. The volume won't be the same without regs. Games will break at late night. So eventually it will mean LESS rake for GP. You created something unique. You tricked the system in a way that US residents can play. Use this advantage. Don't kill it. You have potential access to hundred thousands of players. And you are ruining it.

I think it's for sharing hands on fb and the like for the recs that's about it?

Going to be sad not having all you regs at the tables to play with anymore!

Looks like GPES has been discontinued due to pressure from Global.

http://app.pokerstats.io/

What a joke, honestly makes me think they are hiding something by not allowing you to view your own hand histories. Not a good look for Global Poker at all.

Thanks for the update on GPES, but I, plus others here, would have to disagree with your conclusions this is a bad look for Global.

To the contrary it points to how anti-HUD they are, and I for one think that is a major upside to this website. I can understand your concerns about wanting to know that the site is legit and for personal tracking, but I can also see it from Global's standpoint that the rec players they are trying to bring in "don't want software helper programs".

Was GPES the HUD every fish/rec player fears? Likely not. But to be able to say, HUDs and software of all types is not allowed is a big competitive advantage. And for Global to pick losers and winners of "That software is fine, but this software is not" is difficult in practice.

Pontificate all you wish from your tall towers of ivory, but I think the clear cut decision to keep all software out is a good one, and am very glad Global is making this call. Despite the heat it will receive on 2+2.

Do you even know what software was doing? It was just downloading hands as they appear in hand history. Meaning no other usernames but your own. It also wasn't doing it in real time. So pretty much after the session you needed to go and download hands and import them manually. So please give me scenario here how it could possibly give you any advantage on the table?

I don't need this software at all if GP would provide a way to download hands in PT4 format like any other site allows. I don't need other people nicknames, just mine.

Splayaa just spews non-sense. Not allowing this is a red flag. They can't even give you an account audit to confirm your balance is correct from the thread where the guy claims he was short 1k. Even Bovada will give you an account audit of table buyins/rebuys/cashouts to confirm it is accurate.

Splayya is the paid company mole/shill and it’s evident from a mile away. He creates account and 100% of posts are defending/sticking up for Global.

Also wouldn’t be shocked if Global paid GPES a sum to remove this.

I don't think they going to pay everyone who spent 2 days doing the software.
The question is in case I will do it myself. The hand converter to PT4 format. Will it break the TOS? GP please reply.
01-18-2018 , 02:30 PM
lol at splaya saying its a good call and he is happy global is not allowing it. How is this good for anyone? All it does is show your hand history and no info on any of the other players. I still cant believe there is no history at all for sngs and mtts. Can anyone explain why not?
01-18-2018 , 02:59 PM
I am not arguing for or against GPES, but rather Global's stance on software helpers in general. As I have stated other places this might be a hammer killing a fly, but I can also see how they are just saying "No software" and that this stance is a good thing.

Well, I must be more than a mile away, because it isn't evident to me that Splayaa is a paid shill. I have seem him be critical of some aspects of Global on many occasions. So, if your integrity is important to you, and you value facts, please retract your FACTUALLY WRONG claim that "100% of posts are defending/sticking up for Global."

Splayaa has helped many players in this forum, even going so far has to send PM's to Joey on behalf of other players.

It's fine to disagree with Splayaa in something, but accusations without evidence should get you banned.

Have a blessed day.

+1

Is Global the only site in the world that does not allow you to download your own hand histories, even if they are anonymous?
01-18-2018 , 03:37 PM
Maybe it’s because they are trying not to look like a poker site for legal reasons
01-18-2018 , 03:38 PM
I would love Global much much better if I can download my own hand history. I mean. I am fine waiting 24 hours and all players anony.

+1 for Splaya... I don't know why we are still arguing about whether or not they should or shouldn't do this. It's their TOC and if you want to play here you need to agree to it. If you don't then go somewhere else.
01-18-2018 , 04:34 PM
Nothing we can really do at this point, global makes the rules clearly.
01-18-2018 , 04:37 PM
I am 100% against HUDS being used on Global and 100% for Global's efforts to thwart them from being used.

That being said, I don't really understand what the issue is with providing players with their own personal history if they want it. That includes:

1) A balance audit report
2) A hand history. One that is importable to PT4/HM2 would be nice but as is demonstrated itt, any consistent HH format will work as people can write scripts to convert it to a format PT4/HM2 can process.

I'm guessing, based on other things Global has done over the past year that indicate a lack of a strong poker knowledge, that they don't know how to make the hand history part happen without risking some clever programming person turning that into an actionable HUD for use in real time on the tables.

I think this is fairly simple tbh. First, make all the HH's truly anonymous. Meaning don't even use a "player ID #" in the anon history. Just call every seat by it's number. Player 1, Player 2, etc. and replace the generic name with the Hero's SN in their personal hand history. Second, delay the availability of the hand history by some reasonable timeframe. 24 hours should be plenty. Make a place on the site where a player can request their hand histories be emailed to them, so this can be automated from Global's side, but only allow the request for the past. So for example today is the 18th, maybe only allow me to request my HH's up to the 16th. Since HUDS require real time data to work, this set up should effectively deny them being created from the HH's provided.

+1 to this. And while players having access to their own hand histories shouldn't have to interfere with the above, I care more about thwarting HUD's than I do about having access to data about my own play.
01-18-2018 , 05:21 PM
just do it like bovada does it minus the hud .. just let me download my HH's ffs I just wanna be able to look at how much im down or up and what my EV line is.. this is just so ridiculous come on! gpes was doing a great service for the community really. I play on this site every single day and have paid 100k in rake why dont i deserve to see my damn EV line!?

THERES NO HUD ITS JUST HH's ffs stop making out to be evil. if they developed a hud then they could start banning things.
HH's are so important just for record keeping. and if you pay taxes its ILLEGAL to not keep a log of your activity which HH's would take care of instead of doing them by hand.
shouldn't i have a right to see how I'm doing in the games? they feel emphatic about telling me every hour how much I'm stuck.

Depending on what you mean, they seem to have made a change in that department. If you go to just the https://globalpoker.com/history link you can see they now provide a link that can request your purchase history. I wish it was right there like the withdraws are, but alas it is something.

If you mean how much you are +/- on a table history. Sadly I still haven't seen that, and +1 that would be good to have. They know how much I am up or down at a table, because they give me that pop up each hour. Surely they track that data. Some back end database nerd would not just give that data each hour, and then dump it.
01-18-2018 , 07:18 PM
The reality is, someone could take every ahnd link, open it in a window, screen scrape it, and get everything they want.

What's the difference between having your own hands and anonymous opponents and table replays with.... anonymous opponents?
