Ya, the domain is still functioning fine. Just seems to be a problem loading the poker client. I'm going to bed. Gonna sleep OK, you should too.

The server is returning "503 (Service Unavailable: Back-end server is at capacity)". Leads me to think the growth has finally caught up to the servers.

So, as many may know, the entire site just shut off. I was mid cash game and two sit-n-go's (where I had almost the entire chip stack in both). Before I disconnected, all of the cash game tables slowly closed, and multiple people in my sit-n-gos also disconnected. I'm not sure what happened, but I do want to make sure my money is there, and that I can be compensated for the sit-n-gos that I was about to win. Please share here if the same thing happened to any of you.

Update: I am back on. The money from my cash table is here, but as for the two sit-n-gos that I was in, I was not compensated. They were $20 and $50 6-max sit-n-gos respectively, and I was about to win both of them (about 5700 chips in one and 3800 in the other), and so I'm out about $300. Please help, Global.

I agree something does need to be done, and in the past Global has been pretty good about fixing these situations. Heinous might be too strong of a word, imo.

Given the current online poker situation, it's ridiculous to have so much money on a poker site that it creates a high anxiety level if you might lose it.

If you play online poker, I would recommend withdrawing frequently. Assume whatever is in your account right now may or may not be there tomorrow.
