Hey guys,

Just a quick update on the above situation.

From our review, it seems more than likely that hRvis34 is just having a bit of fun here.

That being said, in our view, any chat from a player not at the table trying to influence play at the table certainly goes against the spirit of the fun, social games we try to promote at Global Poker.

Is it something we are going to ban players for? Certainly not. But it is something we would rather did not occur.

A member of support will be emailing hRvis34 letting him know this and asking him to refrain from doing that again. At that point we will consider this matter resolved.

Friendly table chat is great, also good old fashion sledging is great. We love seeing you guys chat and are completely happy for players to come on and anti-sweat other players and get some good rail bird action going. However, saying things that may influence the play of somebody at the table however are probably taking things a little bit too far.

Once again, we are comfortable that there was no malicious intent and that everyone was just having a bit of fun. We hope you all keep having fun right through the Eagle Cup!

Thanks guys, have a great day.

Joey

been playing some cash games on global poker recently and have had a lot of success, great site and quick cashouts via paypal.

quick question on the eagle cup tourney series:

i will likely only play the main event high on 10/29. based on player turnout so far, which i have no idea how that has been, what can we expect? will the $25k guarantee be met/overlay/smashed? just curious.

thanks

Turnout throughout this series has been good and I don't believe there's been an overlay in any tournament, especially in the normal NL events. I bet the prize pool for the main event will be closer to 35k than 25k. I mean, I personally have preemptively already contributed 400$ to the pool, so ...

The lack of information on how many rebuys are purchased & final prize pool totals makes it hard to know for sure how well they're doing. I won the Eagle $6K 4-Max tournament last night & it paid $2,660, so obviously they crushed the guarantee for that one.

Just received my package today. Hat is crap. Shirt is okay. But the trophy... that's pretty legit. I really thought it was gonna be like one of those crummy trophies we got with the plastic guy on top, but it's pretty awesome. Big eagle on it with your name on the front. Has some heft to it, too.

I would love to see a pic. Feel free to blur your name if you don't want it out there.

I won the $50 buy in Eagle 3K guarantee no rebuy last night.. The tournament lobby tells you the ACTUAL prize pool. For the event I won the prize pool was $4600.

I believe that the rebuy tourneys are far exceeding the guarantee of my example tournament. You really can't blame Global for not having higher guarantees but when I first saw this tournament schedule I knew the site was going to blow up.
Good job Global!!

Bahhhhh. You were the big beneficiary on the 7-man split (4 on your table, three biggest stacks on mine), but you played that to perfection to knock those guys out. Well played.

Heyo we need a special avatar for MULTIPLE time Eagle Cup winners. Need to separate the wheat from the chaff.

Edit: someone in chat (sorry, forget who), said they ship trophies if you win ANY event. I thought people only got trophies at the end. Didn't see info on this above but perhaps I missed it. True/False?

Double Edit: The kind fellow in chat is right. How do I get my packages? Don't see anything in my e-mail.

I got an email shortly after the tournament ended saying congrats and asking for my address and whether I wanted my real name or user name on the trophy. Looked like a regular email from support, so I'd just shoot them a message there if you never got one.

You may be right Billyho (what is your Global screen name) regarding beneficiary if better table but I was actually just trying to survive once I got to FT. I was doing pretty well running in the top three for the longest time but the following hand happened with about 15 16 players remaining and crippled me. I'm just glad he did not have me covered.

My global name is Billyho1515, too. I didn't see that hand actually happen, but did note that you were WAY ahead in chip stack with a couple tables left, then you were back down with the rest of us.

And, trust me when I say this, I would not be complaining if I hadn't gone from chip leader to fourth during those couple dozen hands while we were trying to get from seven to six players.

I was gone pretty quick once we got to final table. I think you knocked out two guys at once and we started with five. Or we got to five after like to hands. I went all-in a couple hands later (A,Q vs low pocket pair) and was done.

Finished 3rd in the L-Eagle Cup last night. That Eagle trophy would have looked nice next to my Run It Up trophy, dammit.

Good run all the same, but yeah too bad on the trophy.

Can we please look at changing the level times on the main event? 15 minutes preferably, but please at least make it 12 minutes. 10 min. levels on a $100 cubed event for a 'main event' has got to be the worst structure for any online main event.

Thank you!

I actually really like the structures, especially in the R+A events. I've never grinded (ground?) MTTs in the past because they take too damn long. I suspect (with no knowledge) that recs/fish prefer the faster events as well.

But the above is just my own personal preference, and I'm quite interested to know how other people feel.

Edit: I don't really see why it's necessary to have a difference structure for the Main Event, either. I mean, it's a 100 2r1a just like all the other Sundays, throwing in an extra 100 players or whatever shouldn't change too much.
