Global Poker is AWESOME! Global Poker is AWESOME!

First off, I just want to say thanks, Global Poker. Your vision of a HUD-less, feature-poor, 0 RB, rec friendly site has been brilliantly executed. Make no mistake, this is an honest appreciation post.

I was a pro during the halicyon days many years ago. With the advent of solvers, the ubiquity of RIO and other comparable training resources, the shriveling of both rakeback and rec player pools, I found it wise to move on. GP has made me completely reverse my position on this.

Night and noon, play at SNGs, MTTs, and PLO is what I will generously refer to as, "pre-2008 quality." This is unbelievable. If anyone knows a site where a 'Merican can, during any TOD, sit at $20-$100 games and be the sole thinking player at a full table, please respond to this thread.

For all of you that think GP sucks because of it's various failings (very difficult to multitable, HUD disallowed, HH analysis all but impossible and the list goes on) please keep in mind that even a mediocre player in today's poker climate (take it from me!) can earn a living wage here. I just wanted to inject my perspective here; I would say this more than makes up for all of GP's admittedly extensive shortcomings.

Thanks Global Poker, I wouldn't change a thing (even if I want to change like, a million things, I suspect it is precisely those things that make you great).

Hell yeah man. I'd like to believe that the people who constantly complain here are the major minority and the people who are content with the site just don't see the need to say anything about it: The games are soft, the payouts are speedy, and it's legal for americans for ****s sakes. Global poker is the ****. The constant complaining about the site only makes the things they complain about worse. Kudos to you for giving them a shout out.

Wow... this means a lot coming from a guy who created an acct just to start this topic. Welcome to the forum?

I've been a member of this forum since 2006. So if we're going by seniority, I've been here just a little bit longer than you .

That’s weird. Your profile says you’ve been a member for a week.

It's so bad it could actually be a Global hater trolling the place. No one could possilby witness what this company has done, used their product and believe their money is safe or that it's a realistic option for serious poker.

I mean I'm just a lonely shill over here but I've been playing on this site for a year and have never had anything but positive experiences (little glitches aside).

I never thought I'd see online games like this again.

I'd recommend that everybody ignore UnsoundPoker.

Sometimes I think that the SoundPokers and Carl Troopers of the world are constantly griping about Global because they don't want new regs to deposit and can keep all the fish to themselves, but then I remember that's the same type of conspiratorial mindset nonsense that they spout and conclude that that's not it.

Totally agree. I played on pokerstars on its BIRTH, and it was juicy...then it stopped, mostly because players are using their computers to play for them.

THANK YOU for understanding that pure poker is mano-a-mano.

ALSO, after great trouble withdrawing, as a Canadian, it was sorted out through the hard work of their admins and is working perfectly. I DO WISH paypal was in there, as there are wire fee transfers, but I am VERY HAPPY with global. Great action, great vision.

Not sure about Carl, but Sound Poker isn't trying to keep the fish to himself, he believes this stuff to his very core. I think he is wrong about a lot of stuff, and has some major blind spots, but he isn't disingenuous, you can be confident of that

Yes, Global is awesome.

The new cashout works fine once the paperwork is done.

Approved 1 day. Cash received in 4 days. I'm totally overjoyed with that.

I don’t play here. I’m banned permanently... I did it myself.

Ya know, I kinda agree with the op here. If you build a site that caters to the 2p2 crew, regular grinderz, hud and solver guru's that is what you are going to get. If your business plan is to focus on recreational players, put me in the middle of em! I would rather do that then fight it out with a bunch of grinders that are 8 tabling with their HUDs revealing my tendencies. Had a great time today 2 tabling .10/.20 played 6 hours +/- and made $90. I usually just play tournaments and this could have just been run good. However, Global has always paid me, software is as consistant as anyone elses, fields are soft and I enjoy it. Feels more like live casino poker and I have fun. Poker is suppose to be fun.
