Daily challenges, what are they worth? Daily challenges, what are they worth?

Anyone smarter than me able to approximate what the expected value of various daily challenges on the Global worth? Are any of them beatable?

I've just started doing them so I'll take a stab: the Hundo gets around 180-200 entrants with a prize fund of $400 -- so a $2 to $2.10 value that costs instead $1. The # of entries in the $500 Bonanza I've paid less attention to but I'll guess 800-1000, so roughly a $.50 to $.60 value for the $.11 entry. This will be my first week in the $5000 Bonanza and I'm unsure how many will play -- I'd guess it's 2x or 3x the daily, so not a huge value.

As far as "beatable," no one figures to get rich playing these. But for 15-20 minutes of GC multi-tabling you can: a) do a solid for the house (GC activity); b) get discounted MTT entries. Seems win win.

Others will likely come along with a better, more informed, perspective.

^^^ Those are the poker challenges. When the OP says "daily challenges", I think they mean the 3 challenges found under the yellow star tab. They change daily, sometimes it's "see 20 flops at a certain blind level", but usually it's 20 spins at a certain slot machine for a small reward.

I have dabbled with these a little bit. Sometimes I've been lucky to be slightly better than even after the reward triggers, but usually I'm down a modest amount. In my very far from expert opinion, they could be slightly +EV if you're willing to play the slot for a big enough sample size that it will pay out at its percentage rate (whether it's 98% or 98.7% or whatever), but if you just play your required 20 to get whatever the reward is, you're mostly going to end up in the negative.

As far as the ring games go, I'd be very careful doing it with cash games that are significantly higher than you normally play. When it says "see 20 flops", it isn't like the poker challenges where you just need to have been dealt in and the hand gets to a flop. With the daily challenges, you have to reach a flop without folding 20 times.

I don't keep track so I cant say for sure, but I think I'm up VERY slightly playing the daily challenges. Most days ill win or lose a dollar or two but once in the bluest of moons, ill win 10 or 15 sc on a spin. I only play the the challenges that give u back 25% or more of your play in the slots and I only do the minimum required play through to claim the bonus FYI.... IDK for sure, I could be dwn overall but its fun to 2 degen it up sometimes.... at a discount of course =)

I never gotten anything else but the slot daily challenges. the guy above me (freewill) mentioned he got a "see 20 flops" daily challenge. I wonder what kind of daily challenges other people are getting offered...

I get them almost every day. Sometimes it's see 20 flops at 10NL, sometimes it's see 20 flops at 800NL.

20 flops at 800NL? bruh, thats too rich 4 my blood. Im still playing in the micros at 8NL LOL.

I never play da slots but when they offer me 1.00sc back if I play 3.75sc, how can I say no?

Yea, there's quite a few of the ring game challenges I skip cause I don't really want to sit down with 500-1k cause I'm just a flippament button masher and would get crushed at that level of cash game.

One of my challenges yesterday was 20 hands at 100NL to get 60 free hypernova spins. Did +$20 in the cash games and +$3 in the free spins. Hard to complain about that when it took like 15 minutes.

(Also, you play the micros by choice! You have the BR...)

I bet its based on which games / buyin levels you play.

Yes I did mean the challenges under the yellow star tab, sorry was not more clear on that. Your answer seems extremely reasonable thanks! The see 20 flops was what peaked the question for me, as that would almost certainly be +EV assuming you are rolled enough for the stake but the EV for the "daily challenges" for the slots is alot more ambiguous.

If I see a "daily challenge" that I think is beatable, I will post it in this tread. If anyone wanted to do the same, that would be amazing.

All the Ring Game challenges are beatable. Whether YOU can beat them or not is another question entirely.

All the spin games are just a gamble.

The post above were my offers from a few days ago. You could certainly play 25 flops at 1500NL and have a profit, then get the prize spins on top of that. Or...
