Still disconnecting as of last night. Why haven't you added a disconnect time bank yet?

Based on some of the feedback ITT, I played GP again tonight for the first time in several weeks. Put in a short one-hour session with 2 tables, zero disconnects on my end, and no disconnects from anyone else on the tables with me.

This is encouraging. I'd quit playing GP earlier this month until things got sorted out. I'm hopeful the recent changes produce positive results for everyone else as well.

I had the same experience on Saturday as well, none for me, and I didn't notice it for others either.

It is for sure encouraging, although I am unwilling to say it is "fixed" which I don't think you are saying that either. But hopefully this is a trend in the correct direction.

I'm disconnecting a lot less but saw plenty of other players disconnecting the past few days. But even those seemed less frequent than before.

Hey guys,

I can see from our back end data that the number of disconnects has dropped significantly!

Thank you for your patience with this. We are hopeful that we can now leave this problem in the rear view mirror.

We will of course keep monitoring and if you have any other issues please let us know.

Thanks

Team Global Poker.

Don't piss on my neck and tell me it's raining. Disconnects are constant.

That's not the case for everyone. Mine were constant, but I'm recent hours I've only seen one player disconnect.

Not saying it's perfect by any means, but it has improved on my end. Hopefully the improvement trend continues.

Yesterday the lag wasn't bad at all for me.

Today it has been ****ing HORRIBLE!!! I've disconnected 4ish times and its cost me 1 pot.

I was really hoping after yesterday being so good that it was getting closed to being fixed, today is just as bad as ever though.

I've had a chance to put in several sessions this week, and haven't seen any disconnects on my end. I did see a problem last night where 3 players timed out on their entry blind, but I was able to immediately post. There had to have been some type of disconnect issue that caused it, but it was otherwise a single anomaly in what have been several good sessions.

Yes the lag/connection is still very terrible, and moreover sometimes causes glitches where the fold/call/raise buttons would disappear upon reconnection.

What's the highest number of tables you've been able to multitable without the lag just disconnecting you?

I'm wondering if there are problems in specific regions, or specific users. Are you noticing anyone else disconnecting at the same tables as you? I ask because I've played quite a bit this weekend, and haven't seen a single disconnect on my end. I've only seen other users disconnect 2-3 times, which would easily be explained by intermittent ISP issues on the user end, rather than the pervasive disconnects I was seeing last month that indicated a problem on GPs platform.

One thing that we did notice when looking for the causes of these disconnects is that Chrome seems to be far less likely to disconnect than other sites.

Without going into exact numbers, Chrome is the most popular browser for our players yet it has the least number of disconnect issues by far.

If you are still having issues and are not using Chrome perhaps download it and give it a go?

I've also played a lot this weekend, 4 tables for the most part, zero lag and zero disconnects. Was playing 12 tables while getting the 200 gold coins flops and no problems there either.

Yeah, that makes sense. I almost exclusively use Chrome. The lag/disconnect in early August was horrible, but it's been running great since the latest update.

I've been on Chrome since I started but was still having problems - though much better lately. Haven't had a single disconnect the last few sessions and have only seen a handful at the tables.

The lag has been WAY WAY WAY better for me the past 2 days.

In fact, I can't recall a single instance of a lag/disconnect in the past 2 days, and I've played probably 10ish hours.

Thanks for fixing this It's way less tilting to play on the site now.

Will also say that haven't experienced any lag or disconnects in the last week or so. Big improvement so far!

Thanks guys, appreciate you coming on and sharing your positive experiences.

Have a good evening!

Lag was very bad tonight (9/5). Disconnects galore. I use chrome. Just thought Admin would want to know.
09-09-2017 , 12:04 PM
Lag and disconnects are back for me too. I use chrome.

(3 disconnects and 2 giant lag spikes in 7 minutes)

Site is so bad it's unplayable....jesus christ I thought we got past this.
09-09-2017 , 10:55 PM
