Re: Global lag is out of control!!!

Also to note, I have data processing units at my address that need to continuously connect with outside servers and almost NEVER have disconnection issues. I just wanted to point that out in case GP would think it was on our end.

Re: Global lag is out of control!!!

Just confirming what everybody else is saying, there are semi frequent disconnects every day on global. When i disconnect it seems like several other players at my tables disconnect at the same time. It only lasts for 5-10 seconds, but its' enough to make you miss hands and nearly time out in pots. It's seemed a bit better for the past 2 days, but i'm still experiencing one or two every hour.

Seriously, I don't understand how you have such an incompetent IT team, IT infrastructure. This should be your only priority until it is resolved. Even reading the chat the recs are extremely pissed as they should be and are more convinced than ever that your site is a scam.

I agree it needs to be fixed, but it also needs to be understood this is a hard problem to solve. Remember the good old days of Twitter, YouTube, gmail, all services we rely on heavily, yet they all to had their issues in the beginning.

If someone believes the site is a scam because of it, then that is bad, but at the same time, I doubt Global doesn't care about the disconnects. They are as motivated as we are that tables don't disconnect.

Learn from other's mistakes, I say. I mean it's 2017 ffs...It's inexcusable with today's infrastructures to not have necessary load provisions in place. The very nature of cloud platforms were built for rapid scale up/scale down scenarios. GP feels more like 3 servers from Fry's stacked in a dude's basement.

I don't disagree that it doesn't need to be fixed, but I also think it is in accurate to call it inexcusable. Its not easy to make a website scale that is all I am trying to say. And also don't here me say they don't need to fix it, but my other point still remains, why would Global want to ignore the problem? Surely they are more motivated than even we are to see it come to a good resolution.

Its like complaining to the club owner he needs to expand the building because people are not able to enjoy themselves in such a crowded place. Hes the owner, he sees that. This isn't a rake thing where we want the cost to come down and the site doesn't want to lower prices. In this case we are all on the same side.

So rather than complain we should be sending screenshots and details of what is happening to help them the best, and then know they are just as motivated as we are to see it come to a resolution.

It's unbearable tonight. Just caused me to fold AA preflop in the 5k its lagging so bad. Playing right alongside two ignition tables and they're running just fine.

Re: Global lag is out of control!!!

Add some disconnect time to your software at the very least if your IT department is capable of doing that. With how high your rake is you should be able to afford infrastructure that is not disconnecting your players at such a high rate. Have been lagging out constantly today.

3rd hand into session and all tables disconnect and twice again in 15 minutes. It's almost becoming unplayable.

Re: Global lag is out of control!!!

I just started messing around with the free $2 this week and there is no way I'm depositing until the lag problem is solved. Though I do appreciate the boom switch bringing me from $2 to $30 at .02/.04 in a fairly insignificant number of hands.

Re: Global lag is out of control!!!

Hi all,

Appreciate this is frustrating and I have passed on several comments to our team about this in order to get it fixed.

If you guys could assist though I need as much information as I can to provide to the back office guys to help them fix this.

Any screenshots you can send or info on what system you are using and time and date would be a major help.

We all want this resolved ASAP so any help you can provide would be appreciated.

It is for sure slower to do it that way, but man is it nice when you know everything there is just profit, and if something goes sideways you haven't really lost anything, or at leas that is how I see it

I sent in a screenshot but it's not terribly enlightening. And support just responded with boilerplate about how to fix problems on my end.

Re: Global lag is out of control!!!

Last thing I'm going to do is try and screenshot my disconnect while I'm trying to reconnect and not lose 100 dollar pots. Highest rake in the business, can't hire a competent IT team. Seems reasonable.

Re: Global lag is out of control!!!

Not sure why they even want a screenshot. Every time I play people are disconnecting constantly, including myself. Usually the disconnects are short lived, but they're constant.

The system somehow knows when I've disconnected since it tells me I'm disconnected. Can't the support staff capture the info they need when people disconnect?

Re: Global lag is out of control!!!

I didn't disconnect in my SitNGo, but two of the players at my table did. Once each. Also the time keeps running at a SitNGo when a player is disconnected, to me I think we would want that to be paused. For an MTT I get it, that won't work, but a single table SNG, it should pause the clock on a disconnect if possible.

Bonus idea, no/lower rake on a pot where a disconnect takes place... I don't think players would mind the growing pains as much.

Re: Global lag is out of control!!!

I had a couple today, didn't cost me any $ and they were really quick but I did manage to snag a screenshot of one that I'll email in. I agree with the above post about not being sure what they will get from it but I'll try to help however I can. I play on a desktop cpu with an old school ethernet cable plugged straight into my router & cpu, no wifi, windows10, late model home cpu
