When I was active in the WPN subforum, I was both supportive of WPN in some areas, and critical of them in others. In particular I've been very critical of their live chat support, which is beyond ridiculously bad/unknowledgeable/sometimes unprofessional. And I've never "attacked" anyone about bots or cheating that I recall. I quit playing cash games on WPN over a year ago because of the cheating and bot rings, and the miserable environment created by the Beast promotion. Phil's vehement promise on twitch to aggressively combat bots followed by total inaction was the last straw for me. I don't play many tournaments there anymore either because I hate 46 hour late registration. And as result I haven't been an active poster there in over a year. Although I occasionally drop in, I didn't even look at that subforum for months at a time during 2017.

As for this subforum, I've been active here since moving my play over. I don't "attack" people in the way I think you mean, but if someone posts something unfounded I'll call them out for it. What you quoted itt wasn't an attack on OP in any way, I simply asked him questions which logically need to be answered if his claims have merit. Although to be fair I did later poke fun at him for presenting the notion he wants really strong players on his immediate left, which I happen to think is kind of LOL. You didn't quote that though.

As for my thoughts on WPN or Global poker, I have never "mindlessly defended" either site. I think if you really follow my posts, you'll find I call it like I see it. I am supportive of the sites when I think it's warranted, and I'm critical of them when I think it's warranted. Both Global and WPN do things that fall into both categories imo.

I am shocked you took the time to type out such a well thought out response to someone who isn't going to be able to process 99% of it.

I realize I come off as a dick when I talk like this, but I don't care. From what I've seen in this subforum recently there's so many people that aren't worth a response or are just drawing dead when it comes to understanding simple topics. We just have to let the rigtards and morons type away and try to only enter threads where the conversations are reasonable :/

Fair point. Many people won't understand the point you are making. But then when I post an explanation, I post it knowing the person I am responding to may not ever understand. But there are people who are reading posts and not responding, and they ARE listening to reasonable responses and willing to be swayed by logical arguments.

If the only logical "sounding" arguments are coming from the flawed, and the response is "STFU" from the people who actually understand these topics deeply, it leaves the reader believing the side that seems crazy might just be right.

So I get it, sometimes it seems like a waste of time to try to explain concepts to people who won't get them, but then... that is not the whole of who our arguments are reaching. Keep that in mind as you write responses as well.

Side note, this is something I have always appreciated about gluten free in particular. GF seems to be thinking though the topics and making reasonable responses, even when personally attacked. May we all learn from that example of how to behave in an open internet forum, and if we did.... imagine how much better 2+2 could be!
