Lots of people have no sound and, like so many other problems since day 1, Global isn't even going to acknowledge it, let alone fix it.

How ****ing hard would it be for a Global rep to drop by and say, "Sorry about the sound stuff guys, we're working on it"? But here we are going on 3 days and not a peep.

I sure am enjoying the new, quiet Global Poker. Used to be I was constantly being audibly alerted to tables I needed to take action on, even if I wasn't paying close attention to them or couldn't see them. But now I am enjoying the serenity as I silently timeout without knowing it, slowing up the games and pissing off my fellow players. Thanks, Global!

Thinking about dipping my toe in GP for some micro stake PLO is it a good idea or nah?

Lowest is $.02/.04. No deposit required. You get $2 for free when you sign up. See 50 flops at play money, then you can play in the $500/guaranteed for $.11 at 9 EDT.

Awesome. Thanks for getting back to my post about this. If I do want to deposit some money, is it pretty straightforward?

Deposits and withdrawals are both very straight forward in my opinion. Takes like a week for your first withdrawal as you need to verify your identity. After that, I’ve cashed out 20ish times with it taking no longer than 48 hours. Deposits are instantaneous through PayPal.

Alright. Going to make a deposit later on and add this to my list of networks. Thanks again.

I just signed up and registered, etc but they only gave me 5,000 gold coins to start - No sweeps cash. Correct me if I'm wrong but sweeps cash is the real money that I trade in for it's equivalent in cash on paypal? So like right now if I buy 50,000 gold coins for $10, they give me $10 in sweeps cash. So I'd start out with $10 "cash" to play in ring games, etc?

Thanks

edit: emailed support about the free $2 in sweeps cash.

Nice. Thanks again for your help on this, guys. the $2 isn't really a big issue as I'm going to deposit but it would be nice - as always with any network - if they had some kind of bonus and/or rakeback structure. Other than that, I'm glad I can add the volume and game selection to my repertoire.

RedChipPoker, where I'm a PRO member, has a lot of game nights and events on that network, too. So it's a total win for me to play there alongside the other networks I'm on.

More people need to join BetOnline, Horizon, and Global. These are legitimately good sites for any serious US player that just need to be pumped full of traffic and alongside Ignition and WPN...it gives a US poker player a nice array of online options.

These are all illegal sites that could be shut down at any time, correct?

Just purchased $750 worth of $weepscash and it was not credited to my account. However, my paypal was charged. I just sent a request to Globalpoker to clear it up.

Made plenty of purchases in the past, no issues. Anyone have an issue with $sweepscash not being credited to their account?

First off you are not purchasing $weepscash. You are purchasing "gold coins" which will give you free $weepscash. Free $weepscash is not included in the $750 gold coin package. It is stated clear as day right on the ordering form. How you have made deposits in the past and are familiar with the system and did not manage to see the words "Gold Coin Only Pack Free $0 $weepscash" is beyond me.

I'm so sorry its beyond you. I made a mistake and had no intention to purchase "gold coins" for $750 to play for "fun."

What is beyond me is why they sell that package for $750 while all the others offer $sweepscash except the $750 one. Lol There is no logic to that.

Makes. ZERO. sense...

Your so sorry "It's beyond ME?' Looks like it is beyond you bud. It is right there on the page GOLD COIN ONLY . If I'm about to spend $750 I am carefully reading what I am purchasing before I get click happy. They will fix it for you though.

And to be considered a "Sweepstakes" site they must offer a package that does not give you free $weepscash.

Like I said though they have refunded others before and will most likely do the same for you. See ya at the play money tables hhahahhahahahha

I said its beyond me: Did you miss that part?

Thanks bro, you offer zero-value and insight to my problem. I contacted the "support" team and received a delayed response. To which the rep told me that I received my "gold coins" and there is nothing to address. (Very robotic response) Also PM'd the GP rep on here (no response)

So I decided to contact paypal and file a claim.

To which, then Global emailed me saying they would refund my money, only if I withdraw the claim from Paypal. In the meantime they have locked my account.

Why not just hit the refund button? Paypal has advised me to not cancel claim, as that would waive my rights under buyers protection.

Based on their response, and how they have handled this situation I will no longer be playing on Global.

I probably would have gone at least one more round with customer support before the nuclear option. It was, after all, your mistake. As far as I know Global has reached a satisfactory resolution with everyone else who has posted here who made the same mistake.

It's kind of unfortunate that the $750 option has to exist but I imagine their lawyers think it's necessary for their sweepstakes model.

They didn't respond to my request - and when they did they told me that my "gold coins" were credited to my account.

Only after submitting the claim did they respond via email telling me they will refund my money only if I cancel the claim. Why do I have to cancel the claim when Paypal informed me that all they need to do is refund the money and the case will be resolved. Paypal has advised me NOT to close the claim as this will waive my buyer protection.

WHAT THE F*&$ kind of **** is this?

The GP rep from 2+2 has yet to respond. Which I pm'd him prior to submitting the claim with paypal.

Buyer beware!

Buyer beware.....read what you are doing

There are a cpl thousand post in this thread alone. There are separate threads that also discuss the same thing you are trying to repair. Since you took the liberty to file a claim, you either wait for PayPal to resolve on their end or you cancel it and resolve with Global. Since there are a handful of people that made the same mistake and get resolution with Global by being patient and calm, that just may work for you, too.

Why is it so hard to get? Cancel with PayPal, show it to Global, they refund your money without the extra risk, and you can start over. If they decide to suddenly turn I to thieves, you have written emails from them that you can just file a new claim with PayPal to get your money. Since they have regularly refunded people back that could not read the screen correctly, it would seem like they have a track record of doing the right thing, even without being required to do it.

You made the error and want them to make good on it. Why not just work with them instead of being angry at them for your carelessness?

Im not angry at them for carelessness. I take full accountability for my careless mistake.

Im more so irritated about how they are handling it. Why not just refund the money as they stated they would?

I am astonished by all the trolls on this forum who just bash and critique my dubious mistake (which Im well aware of) instead of offering advice and insight like yourself. (even with your snarky remarks - "Couldnt read the screen correctly.") - Swan comments like that are not necessary and don't make you any cooler than you already are.
