Some may object and say forums are supposed to be about open conversation and the exchange of ideas, even ideas that we don't like or agree with. But those people are wrong. Big bwalz must be obeyed, so I cannot respond. He told me is a much more advanced thinker than I am and smarter than I am. And just me guessing, but he is probably better in bed. Question for the Moderator: Will I be autobanned if I respond to any big bwalz post? Don't want to step on any toes, you know.

you and splaya are ridiculous. Some people actually have poker for their primary or secondary source of income so it matters more to those players. As opposed to guys like you who brag about having good jobs and just play for fun and entertainment and dont seem to care if you win or lose much. That is why I do not find you and those like you amusing, entertaining yourself at others expense, just blabbering for the sake of blabbering. You wanna be a smart ass cuz i ask you to please stop picking apart and re writing my posts in a way that you feel is more palatable to the poker community you think you are trying to protect or the site you are trying to suck up to? and this is your reply? Grow up man. And side note for everyone, poker isnt that much fun, people pley to make $, those looking to gamble with no control over the outcome can do it easier and have a lot more fun in sports or casino games and thats what a lot of us are trying to prevent the poker operators from forcing POKER players to do.

I'll send splaya a pm later explining more and to try to stop this public arguing, i think we are allon the same page just coming from different places and have a different way of going about things

At this point they cannot. It looked like it could happen a month or so ago, and then that kind of faded. I would for sure send an email to support for any official word about when it could be coming. I would imagine with a name like Global Poker, the plan is to make it global.

I don't really need a PM but if you want to send one by my guest. You are the one who started this argument publicly, so now I don't know why its such a big deal to make it private. Other than I would rather see this thread dedicated to what it is for. Questions about Global Poker.

Not this non sense about if big bawlz thinks anyone has the right to critique him since he is after all better than us. Or should opinions must be tossed out if big bawlz doesn't deem them worthy.

Dude... its a public forum. When you post you are telling people they can read, interpret, agree, disagree, post, comment or ignore about anything you write.

If some random guy like me can put you on tilt (your words) because of comments they leave on your post, you should likely grow some thicker skin and unplug from the internet until you do.

What?

I've found splayaa's posts balanced, objective and informative. So much so that I'm feeling a WTF?!? at the hostility.

I play poker because it's a captivating game. The decision tree/branches/leaves challenge me. I find challenges a positive influence in my life. Positive is 'fun'.

I want to make '$' at poker. Not only because '$' is valuable to buy life essentials but because '$' is how the poker game is scored.

In fact, I think poker will thrive only through those players who find the game fun whether they win or lose ('fun' = captivating, interesting, challenging etc)

For the record, poker is a vital secondary source of income for me - or at least was while I lived outside the U.S. - so I'm thrilled Global is here for me now to build that into my life again since I've moved to the States.

Honestly, big bwalz, I think alarm bells should be ringing in your head that you're spending so much time and effort on something that 'isn't that much fun' just to earn a buck.

1. I've never bragged about having a good job (mostly because I don't have a good job).

2. What post of yours did I ever "re write?" If you can show a post of mine where I either misquoted you or quoted you out of context, I will publicly apologize.

3. I think poker is a lot of fun, which is the only reason that I play it. I'm sorry that you don't enjoy your profession (if poker is indeed your profession).

4. One of the main reasons that you can make money at poker is because of recreational fish like me who "just play for fun". The "fishier" Global remains, the more money you will make, I would think.

Careful with trigger words like "rakeback"

But I do agree, its an easy way to get some money back out of the site. Not sure it makes sense for a mid level grinder or higher since it has a $300 cap, but free money is free money.

So, what's the deal with the sweeps envelope payments? Never heard of this before

Is it only for those who deposit?

Re: General questions Globalpoker.com

I'm disappointed that the 'dealer screen' no longer shows the action of each hand and now only shows the result - software is still too bulky to look back at hand history while actively playing.

Global Rep - why the change?

Maybe I should clarify whats going on here. I was playing when I posted this so I just did it real quickly. This guy who goes by ScreenName was talking a lot of crap in the chat box to people at the table and I happened to catch this from his ranting: ScreenName,: i play under 4 names and watch your dumb ass nightly

Thanks for the clarification. Did you email Global support about it? Hand IDs and such I am sure would be helpful for them so they can investigate.

Global Rep - why the change?
Check out this thread

https://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/2...indow-1697125/

That is where this conversation is mostly happening, although sadly without official comment from a Global rep yet at this point. As I point out over there, it is with that said, their weekend, so hopefully we hear something Sunday afternoon or evening.

What should have happened is an email out to all players about the change, unless this is all just a bug (personally I am not thinking its a bug, but it is still possible).

How long does it take before your buyin resets? If I leave and come back how long before I don't need to buy in for what I left for.

I made a mistake today and used PayPal to buy in $750 dollars but now realize that it comes with no sweepscash. What can I do now? Any way you can grant me the sweepscash or should I call PayPal and my bank to dispute the transaction? My username is DDPHiFive. Please advise. Thanks.

Re: General questions Globalpoker.com

as a long term, profitable member of the poker community I feel the need to write a lengthy "open letter" to the community and GP site operators tomorrow. I am extremely unhappy with what is going on in many areas with this corporation, and what its doing to the poker community. I believe I can compose my thoughts in such a manner which will be un-exploitable. It's time we as players stand up for our rights this has gone on for way too long, and GP is just trying to be the AmayaStars in the US, cuz they have access to the player pool right now. But it's not their player pool its ours as the players.

if i were you i would file a complaint with paypal if they've not rectified it by now. They clearly are raping their player base in many ways, we need to stop being happy to have a place to play and start having some say in what goes on wherever we play. GP is going to completely destroy the remaining US player pool with all their shenanigans, if it ever gets legal here GP is going to leave such a bad taste in everybody's mouth that nobody will wanna play. But lets all just sit here with our thumbs up our butts while 2+2 gets ad revenue and GP shareholders profit and we get screwed.

Overreaction based on the question that was asked, imo

Pacnjig, work with Global support, either via email or through this forum. This has happened multiple times, and everyone has seemed to be refunded. Also note that although you posted on Dec 2, it is the weekend for GP reps, so hopefully in the next couple of days you will be able to get things squared away

Yeah, go the direct route via email or wait for the reps here. They have shown consistent willingness to work with the players. You could ask for refund via PayPal, but give them a couple days to straighten it out first. They are not around on the weekends it seems.

Really lost on players that make demands of networks. Don't like, don't play. I've yet to see one change their business model over a handful of people complaining in a public forum. I said business model, not some tweaking of a game structure or something.
