Hi Burn. You have resorted to calling us , stupid, naive and that we dont have a clue of what we are doing. You are entitled to your own opinion. But when you are starting to call us scam site then I really think you are out of line. We have showed exactly who we are and how we are funded. How our business model works and what makes it legal.

You dont like us I get that, so please be our guest and go play somewhere else. But by calling us a scam then you are not only insulting us but you are also insulting the players that chooses to play with us. Players that have thus far since we launched 5th of December last year, cashed out and received total winnings of over $160,000.

Fair criticism and questions is all good and will and have been answered.
Unwarranted accusations is just beneath the level of communication that we are trying to keep here.

wrt to player population: If the sweeps model is accepted as legit in the states then it follows that there should be no reluctance to advertise the site on tv, radio, popular websites, and print similar to the fantasy sports betting sites.

1. Are there plans for mainstream advertising of a new, legal, US facing poker site to the general US populace?

2. Is your network infrastructure able to handle such an expected increase in traffic?

Hi Deal

1. Yes mainstream advertising is def something that is part of our over all marketing plan for the next 6 months. You can call our presence here our stepping stone. We wanted to start somewhere where we could communicate with US poker players. We will always be here, but we are also rolling out our next step on the 20th of this month. When our presence will be known thru many popular websites.

2. We have tested our network infrastructure to handle very high traffic. And its built so if we were to grow faster than expected, which would be great, then we can scale up quite easily.

Thankyou, for your response, i appreciate your timely response; i am sorry if i insulted you or any players on globalpoker.com. it was not my intention to insault you but just stating the obvious with traffic vs freerolls/freebankrolls that the rake you collect wont add up to be enough . The mainpoint i was pointing out is that you can create unlimited accounts with out email verification; and freeroll the site and the depositors. if thats how your business model works and it works for everyone then great, just not seeing long term success here at all.

i really dont care about this site or if anybody ends up losing money here or if you make a lot of money. im just trying to help your site, and your accusing me of insaulting the poker community like they belong to youand im the bad person

fix your loose ends obviously. unless thats your business model then so be it...sorry...

you have read about full tilt right? and phantom depostis...really dont wont to make this an argument. but what you call a business model is illigal.

fix your **** so no 5 year olds can just start gambling away if there smart enough have a email...notto mention chip dumping....site is a scammers wet dream...

You should read the FAQ one more time. And let us worry about the 2 free $weeps that we currently give away at signup.

no reason to be a smart ass, when it comes to money and comin sense its not hard to make a conclusion. everybody knows that tac's is fullof horse sht, especially us facing sites.just becuase your legal doesnt make you legit. lots of sites claim there legal like bol and bovada. and your business model is based on faith not facts.im just pointing out one thing. Phantom accounts that will never withdraw just play rake and lose. thats a pretty big deal imo. i legit complaint. that you dont want us to worry about. sounds shady. why not just fix it. email verification is pretty modern day standard.for a legal poker site i would expect legal id verification. call me stupid but if your legal why cant you follow the rules?

Im not being a smartass, but you keep coming after me, so Im just referring to what we have stated earlier. But you clearly dont believe in what we are doing, which again is fair enough. We are being as transparent as possible, and that is one of the reasons we are here on this forum.

I have had money myself on a few poker sites back in the day that fold up tent and just left, so I can understand there is doubt when something new like Globalpoker comes along.
02-12-2017 , 01:29 PM
just add a verification system, thats all i was saying, ill just drop it since that goes against your business module obviously.i guess you count on the phantom money to build traffic. The free $2 is a great deal for first timers, except some of them are coming tenth timers. The sad part is that i told you i made like four accounts and did nothing to interfere or even say it was wrong but instead try and turn it into a insult against me. Anyways im done on this site just seeing your incompatance with my questions(accusations).

And yet you make manic posts about a site you don't care about?

They raised 16 million in a private placement this past December.

Bythe-Tinker and Escalante have a successful business history. It may make more sense to find out some background information instead of ranting every ten minutes about a site you don't like. No matter how much you verbalize that you don't like it, you will change exactly zero minds of those that do. That is a far cry from known scam artists that were involved in other sites that do not exist anymore.

Their big promo, 10K Super Bowl freeroll, took place and so far we have heard zero people complain about not getting paid.

For whatever it's worth to this discussion, I can understand the skepticism around any new US-facing site, and I'm sure GlobalPokerCSAdmin can understand it as well. And GlobalPokerCSAdmin, if you ever feel like you're getting beaten up a lot, search for posts by imjustshane and you'll probably feel like you're getting a walk in the park .

I look forward to Global Poker someday having and perhaps even EXCEEDING the traffic and game selection of other social gaming poker sites like NLOP and PurePlay.

I am skeptical that it will happen, but if this site is still up, running and growing one year from now, I will come back to this post and HAPPILY admit that I was wrong. If I forget, feel free to PM me and send me a link to this post .

Text from Terms of Use regarding AMOE:

Spoiler:
Receive Sweepstakes/Prize Promotion Cash when you Send a Mailed Request. US and Canadian (excluding Quebec) participants can receive Sweepstakes/Prize Promotion Cash by sending a stamped #10 envelope, hand written, to VIRTUAL GAMING WORLDS, GLOBAL POKER SWEEPSTAKES DEPARTMENT, 548 MARKET ST #73140, SAN FRANCISCO, CA 94104. Please add full name, and return address to the front of the envelope and words: "Global Poker Sweepstakes Credits:" followed by the current month and year (example: Sweepstakes Credits: January 2016). For each request a participant submits the participant will receive $6USD (600 Sweepstakes/Prize Promotion Cash), credited as $1USD (100 Sweepstakes/Prize Promotion Cash) per day over 6 consecutive days. The Sweepstakes/Prize Promotion Cash will be automatically added to the participant's account starting within 5 business days of receipt. A maximum of 5 mail in requests per month may be sent. Any requests above this number will accumulate to the following month. No more than one additional month may be accumulated at any time.

Just confirming:
1. Just send an empty #10 envelope which is a 4 1/8 x 9 1/2 inch envelope,
2. Just put Sweepstakes Credits and the month/year underneath the return address, and
3. All you need is first and last name? That's the part that surprised me a bit - some names like Mike Jones and John Smith are very common and could cause confusion. EDIT: Never mind, it's nearly impossible for 2 people with the same name to ALSO have the same mailing address. I'm a doofus.

If it's this simple, I'll do it right now.

Is plan for GLOBAL players like Brazil Spain England? Or why call global poker if no?
02-13-2017 , 10:04 AM
Love the innovation. Interesting business model that could scale much more quickly than other non-traditional online models.

I reg'd and played around a bit. good software. easy to register.

Question regarding the US facing part of your business.

Brick and Mortar Internet / Sweepstakes Cafes popped up and were eventually mostly closed in several stakes in the U.S. over the past decade. These were effectively slot machine operators attempting to operate a gambling business under sweepstakes laws in each state.

http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/nation/2014/03/24/stateline-illegal-gambling-internet-cafes/6829731/

https://www.casino.org/news/north-carolina-sweepstakes-operators-must-be-out-by-july

How does your legal argument vary from what was originally put forth by the Internet/Sweepstakes cafes?

That is a phishing email that is not coming from PayPal as can be seen from your name not being in the salutation and the bad English. If you clicked on the link and gave out your credential you need to change your PW.

Props to Global Poker and the reps in here, all questions have been answered thoughtfully and promptly.

I will say, if you ever plan on becoming a huge player in the online poker industry, you are going to need more than a skinned-version of cubeia poker browser software. I would devote whatever marketing dollars you have towards funding and developing a standalone poker client that can actually compete with the big sites in the industry.

I would agree. This Cubeia web version can only go so far.
And while a lot of people are nervous about the legality and paypal, one of the most important things has not been asked.
That is how does the RNG work and has it been certified?

This software used to be open source. Has the RNG code changed since then and is it available for inspection?
