There is a new thread that is asking the same question. The HU tables also disappeared. I am guessing its a chip dumping playground and they shut it down, but I would like to hear from global on what happened there.

havent been able to buy any sweeps cash for global, called paypal and they said the reason why is that its a gambling site, i argued that its not . what does this mean? is it all over?

a paypal rep told me on the phone i cant deposit onto global becasue its a gambling site. what does this mean, is it crashing down?

FWIW, you might want to try again. I just tried a tiny deposit, $5, to see if there was an issue and it went right through.

My 3 biggest things that I haven't seen a comment back from Global on yet (apologize if I missed this):
1. Disconnect issues and screen going black. Is this something that your team is aware of and fixing?
2. Duplicate sns being created by multi-accounters. Can people still create the same name as an existing player?
3. Comment on the rake increase or at least clarity on what rake you are using on your site somewhere? If not for someone pointing it out in a thread here, I honestly don't think I would've noticed the rake increase for some time which is slightly disturbing for a new site to increase rake without notifying their customers. Longshot, but would hope there are at least talks of lowering rake for HU, 3-4 handed play to incentivize table starters. I will not play HU against a competent reg at some levels already due to the rake, but would at least be more inclined to if we had some kind of incentive to do so.

No way. What world do you live in? The regs will come no matter what. More rake is bad for everyone but the site.

As for points one and two these are being looked at very seriously. I believe players are now unable to use the same screen name and we have added increased measures to stop multi-accounters. We are catching many proactively but inevitably some slip through. As soon as they are found they are banned and removed from the site.

We have added new measures to flag this and are looking at increased measures at the moment so hopefully we can all move this to the rear view mirror very soon.

Regarding rake visibility on the website, this has been sent off to occur and a new page detailing all of our rake across every game will be available shortly.

All of your (as in the 2+2 community) comments around rake have been noted and we are looking at this. I don't have an announcement at the moment possibly will shortly!

I wanted to share my experience about global poker. I requested a cashout for $600 and sent in my ID than did not hear back got an email saying send in your ID so I did it again and than again. After 7-10 days I received another email saying that if they did not hear back from me with my ID they were going to cancel my cashout. Well I cancelled it myself and consequently spent the money which I believe was their intent all along. It appears that many people get their cashouts in a reasonable time but I along with many others did not. My advice would be to answer someone back telling them that you have received their ID info and that it would be 7-10 days to get it processed. It is really that simple. I think Global Poker has the worst customer service of any site that I have been on in many years. I am very internet savvy and have marketed many sites online but just acknowledging with a response would say everyone a lot of aggravation.

Why are there no wait lists?

It has been mentioned before, and I don't think there has been an official response. But the general consensus is wait lists make the site more pro friendly, something they are trying to avoid.

Did you remove the daily purchase freeroll? If so why? And if so can you remove the advertisement from your website?

For the love of God please fix the short stacking issue. Sitting at a .05/.10 table and 4 people at the table keep reloading for $1. Move to a .25/.50 and 3 people sit down with $5.

Letting players sit down with 10BB are making the tables not fun.

This has been discussed in previous threads and I have been convinced that keeping the 10BB min buy in is +ev for the site overall.
