Re: General questions Globalpoker.com

I guess it wasn't a bad thing I was done playing right before all of this happened. I was trying to register for a tourney and hit the button and then the site didn't come back. It looks fine now, and my balance appears to be correct. I would suggest everyone do the same and submit a support request if you see an issue.

Re: General questions Globalpoker.com

GP needs to add accessibility to table buyin/cashout transactions. Without this players who play several games cannot verify their own account balances are correct. Every site allows players to access table logs other than GP.

This is quite an issue. I have requested that GP make these logs available in the past and I am doing so again. Allow players to access their table transaction logs GP.

I agree with this. FWIW, I track it manually on an Excel sheet so I know what I've got on a table and when I quit, I have an accurate picture of what my account balance should be. Because I do this I don't use auto top up, I have to manually top up so there's times I'm sitting with a bit less than 100BB for a while. I don't mind that though. Still I think it would be useful to have these logs for sure.

I track manually on Excel SS as well but i encountered an issue in the past which a table shut down and my account balance was off so even though i was typing it in Excel it really didnt matter because the table never got refunded to my account. They handled it and refunded the table balance to my account manually but it is clearly an issue as it is happening to others as well.

Edit: i now see that you are saying you do it as you top off. This is too much work for someone already grinding 6-12 tables

It is. And they are on it. But it can all be resolved by allowing Transaction logs to be viewed by players in the UI. All it needs is the time, date, transaction amount, and account balance after transaction to be shown. They are going to be forced to do this sooner or later anyways as it will become a much larger issue. Might as well go ahead and add it in the settings menu.

Re: General questions Globalpoker.com

someone recommended this site to me, yet I can't find any info about rake structure (other than "5%" in the early pages)

Is this site something you guys would recommend at this point? Seeing alot of complaints/issues in the last few pages...

It depends, are you a winniner or losing player?

This probably depends on who you ask.

As a Global Poker representative, yes I recommend that you give the site a go!

If you ask the players ITT I am sure their answers will be dependent on whether or not your win rate is > 0BB/100 or not!

We have the Online World Challenge happening at the moment with $1,000,000 in guarantees and massive overlays in many tournaments.

Here is the schedule

He specifically asked about the rake structure yet you chose to ignore that and gave him a link to the tourney schedule instead.

I'm a huge fan of Global and would love to see it grow. I definitely would recommend it with hopes that all the negatives will eventually get ironed out.

But for the time being the fact is that when it comes to short handed (less than 4 players) and games above $1/$2 Global's rake structure is the least competitive in the business. I think it's a fact that needs to be repeated over and over so hopefully it gets adjusted to the industry standards.

I don't work at global, but I do know the rake is 5%. I can send you a hand review if that is helpful that shows the rake when you do the math.

They offer free rolls and stuff for seeing a certain number of flops at a certain stakes. But other than that, not really.
