Meaning the buy-in's cover half the prize pool and the house meets the rest. How do they afford the daily $500 freerolls with their current player pool? Do the math and compare their monthly expenses with their income. It doesn't add up. I suppose you some will say they're ever so generously giving away the 16 mil they allegedly raised. LOL

So, where is their profit margin? They're in the business to make (or take) money. So where's it come from? They make nothing off our deposits. You put in $20 and you have exactly $20 to play with. We don't see the rake, but I've read it's 5%. With the majority of members playing at micro stakes, let's say the average pot is $20 (that's being very generous). Then the rake is a buck. $1. Think this covers the bill? Hell no. They steal from us to make a profit.

Last point I'll make is this; let's assume they are legitimate. Why aren't they on this thread providing their customers with the answers they deserve. Why aren't they responding to our emails? Wouldn't they want to uphold their reputation? It's been days.

Think about it.

Oh and btw, to the guy who told me to take some math classes, why don't you have a look at these numbers and also learn a thing or two about programming. It's extremely easy to manipulate an algorithm that puts the odds against you and in their favor.

I wanted to believe global was the real deal, but they aren't. In time, it will become evident to all. But then again, there are still people playing at ignition lol so maybe not. The only way we'll ever have a legitimate online poker room again is if the community comes together and makes a political push for it.
The freerolls aren't freerolls at all. You need to basically rake $7-8 minimum to qualify. With 80 or so players that is a minimum of $640 in rake just to qualify for that freeroll.

The $2 $1000 GTD tournament is a rebuy so even with 200 players it comes close or exceeds the guarantee.

They have 3-4 tables of 2/4 running most days afternoon and night and usually 5-6 1/2 tables running. They also usually have about 4 1/2 PLO games that get raked to death because average pots are often $100+. With games being so loose on this site they probably make close to $2500 an hour just off games 1/2 and higher afternoon and night.

I think they are doing okay for a very new site.

The support has completely disappeared. It's absolutely brutal. I have a pending cashout that I requested on the 21st which obviously hasn't been paid yet because it's the weekend. I was just paid on the 19th for a separate cashout and it took about 48 hours to receive.

Exact same dates for me too. My 21st pending cashout is for a much larger sum than the first fwiw.

Re: General questions Globalpoker.com

Ive tested the site a couple times with small deposits and cashouts of whole br and no issue. Last one was received on March 27th. Recently i deposited again and decided to risk running up a br there but cashing out often to keep exposure to risk low. April 21 cashed out just under 4 figures after a couple days of playing. Currently pending approval of that cashout. As soon as it goes through i will post dates and request a new cashout.

If you are planning on depositing on this site i would suggest not to do it. When sites start acting like this it has almoat always ended up in sites running with the money.

If worst comes to worst, I believe PayPal will honor a charge-back(so you can at least collect what you've deposited). Am I wrong?

I believe this is true for 30 days.

One thing to note as for my account is my previous cashouts have ALL been paid on a Monday and within 1 minute of each other on the clock. 9:28PM and 9:29PM PST. My guess is the system is automated. Anyone else want to check past paypal transactions date and time to see if this is true?

People don't understand how much money rake adds up to.

Also, the rigged accusations are laughable as well. You're just ****ing garbage at poker.

However, it is very concerning that the customer service has been MIA. I requested a large cash out recently and have gotten no response in 3 days -- I believe it'll eventually go through, but with the state of online poker you really should be more proactive as to not worry players who are already skeptical, as we can see from all this autists' crying about how everything is rigged and a scam instead of accepting they're bad
That's why I just walked out my local casinos poker room $250 to the good? lol. I haven't seen action that would be bringing them anywhere near 40k a day. I think maybe you're talking about during peak hours. The truth is, none of us state the definite amount they're pulling in, or shelling out, but the ball park estimates don't add up in my mind.

Quick question though, how many times a day do you see quads on global?

I'm not super confident I'm getting paid but it seems more likely than not, if I had to put a number on it, I suppose I'd sell my global balance for 90 cents on the dollar if I was offered it right now.

I have been trying to cash out for 4 days now... I get no email responses and I have sent in 2 forms of ID
In a shaky world of internet poker this does not look good for Global Poker
Be careful folks
I'll keep you informed but as of now it doesn't look as if you can cash out

Re: General questions Globalpoker.com

Globalpoker seems a bit fishy, i have been monitering the 1/2 PLO games and one player in particular stands out, I have seen him playing up to 6 tables making rediculous gains at each. Right now with his 800$ investment in 4 games(200 each) he has over 9K in profit. I have never in my life seen anything near this. Maybe he has an edge, maybe he is inside the company. heres a video showing it (sorry for the poor quality)

It's not likely that he's only in for $200 at each table. It always looks better than it actually is. He could very easily be in for $2-3k if not more. He was getting crushed earlier in the day and everyone at his tables had $1k-2k.

Re: General questions Globalpoker.com

The site has changed a tiny bit, which is odd. When you log in it doesn't show you your sweeps cash balance up in the right corner anymore. You have to click the buy chips button or sit at a table to see your balance.

Also...

My cashout from the 21st now says "Approved" and the date says 21st. Support emailed me and says 1 business day to receive funds.

Re: General questions Globalpoker.com

After reading a bit I am starting to wonder if Global Poker's intentions are good but business model is bad. I wonder if they are giving so much $2 free sweeps cash away and if a lot of people are creating multiple accounts to swoop up multiple free $2 sweeps cash that their site looks as if there are lots of funds on the tables but in reality they do not have the money to back this.

Clearly, if their business model forces them to give away money to players then this sort of thing could happen.

Awesome! Hope you receive your withdrawl. I submitted verification documents yesterday(without being asked as I wanted to the process to move along quicker). How long did it take for you after submitting documents?

Tough to say exactly because I am on multiple sites and money is constantly moving around but it seemed like 1-2 business days.

Re: General questions Globalpoker.com

Hi all,

Just wondering what kind of verification documents are needed for a cashout. Specifically, will a passport suffice? My driver's license has an old address as I've moved recently. I also have cable, telephone bills I can send.

Thanks

It's an easy process once they are online and responding to inquiries

Illusive is the name?? I've seen him running the same on nickle/dime tables. What's a player with a roll like that doing at those stakes? lol.

Others to watch out for: thisismickey, whitemares, and bnaz.

He sure does run hot. I busted three of my rolls playing him. He got a few grand from me. Lucky for me my rolls were built from next to nothing but it still stung.

To the players defense I did see him get sucked out on multiple times at one table I played him on. For the most part he seems to always have a large stack.

So just post names suggesting they are less than honorable with zero supporting evidence.

Class act, you should last a long time here

yes iLLusivE, im watching him again today, and he isnt losing prior to winning. If you look at all the 2/4 holdem and 1/2 plo games u can see he is doing the same thing again today. Im sorry but no on makes those kind of gains at these blind levels.

at least not at 5 different tables at the same time, over and over. Am i to believe he is some kind of poker god, the chosen one?

Don't think so, but a HUD is no good if we can't get our cash.

How does one get support@globalpoker.com to respond? So far I've had no luck.

I am trying to cash out, and they are offering zero customer service. A horrible experience with this website so far.

Wow I'm railing right now. He's on 4 1/2 PLO tables with a grand at each.
