They took in $16 million in investors money this past December and BLythe-Tinker came from William Hill and has been in the investment banking business for 30 years. When you take public investor's funds, there are regular filings that need to be done, including audits. I think they are likely as fundamentally strong as any network.

Thanks for that info, but I'm asking more about the "poker playing" side of it. Who makes sure the deck is "shuffled" properly? Who makes sure the network security is sufficient? Are they monitoring themselves or is there an outside monitor ensuring fairness?

I've been playing this 3 card Monte game over the bridge near NYNY for days now. I've lost every time! But the guy running it assures me it's legit. And 2 other guys that win every time say I'm just running bad. This 3 card Monte forum I'm on says variance can be brutal. So I'll just keep grinding it out until my luck changes.


What I'm saying is that this publicly traded, well funded, company should be prioritizing advertising the legality and trustworthiness of its games. That alone would bring in the player pool. Add in the quick payouts through paypal and they can take over pokerstars before 2018, ish

How do we change our email address associated with our Global Poker account ?

I canceled my cashout once I noticed my paypal and global poker email address were different. As to not cause any unwanted errors.

I don't see the option .. am I over looking it ?

They should be putting all their efforts into correcting problems. Things like problems on the cash table, synchronized breaks, add-ons working properly and more options and games to name a few things.
They also need to make their mistakes right to their players. Earning entry into tournaments and having the PLO disappear and having the 5k hands freeroll given to everyone doesn't sit well with many.
After everything on the site is working as it should and they aren't chasing away the players suffering through these problems should they be looking to gain the additional traffic.

That is what I was getting at. They have to be accountable to shareholders. If there is any kind of shady stuff going on, the shareholders will file a class action suit against them. The control persons in the company become personally responsible for any misdoings.

There are no guarantees; but, when you have outside investors looking at the books and able to see everything that is going on...you create a watchdog type effect. The likelihood that any substantial investor asked for profile of legit random cards, segregated funds, secure tables/connections is almost assured. I would ask for proof of all those things. It isn't a direct proof that it is being done, but it eliminates almost all the doubt. There are companies that scam their investors, but it is not the norm. The president of the company has a long track record in the public markets. He most certainly is aware of his personal downside risk, a long incarceration period.

I was able to successfully process a cashout. Thanks to Global Poker support for being so patient with me even though I sent the wrong document once and sent the wrong email address once. I should be good now.

1st post, been doin some serious research on here for online sites to play for US players and global seemed great for now. Also want to try acr or bcp since ive read decent things. Im mainly a tourney player now. Made my account yesterday with you guys at global and got 8th on the 500 freeroll. Really fun, I like the lower traffic for now so I can build up when you guys get big. Would really like to see more tournaments and sng's . Just verified my docs with you guys and am interested to see how quickly it gets processed.
