Hi GlobalPokerCSadmin,

I am having issues depositing. Support has been great in responding to my emails but unfortunately I still can not deposit. I think my account is having issue beyond their control.

I was receiving that HTTP 500 error message. Then I was able to get past that and it logged me into my paypal account but it just took me to the landing page of paypal and did not give me a chance to complete my transaction.

Eventually I was told to use a different device to deposit and they suggested I use my phone. I have an IPhone 6s. I logged into my global poker account on my IPhone 6s using the Safari browser. I did not see an app for global poker so I logged in through the safari browser. I then was going through the deposit procedure. It took me to my paypal log in and then when I logged in it said something to the effect of "we can not complete your transaction to this merchant". I forget the exact language but it was something like that. I have more than enough money in my paypal account to cover the deposit.

I am wondering if this issue is specific to me or is there now a problem using paypal to deposit on your site.

My screen name on global poker is TonySoprano. If there is nothing you can do then I understand. Thanks for your help.

John

I use to get the same error as you. I loaded some funds into my paypal account and the deposit worked then.

So if you are like me and keep no cash in PayPal .. try loading some in and then making your deposit.

Thanks Got To Winn. I actually have a $45.00 balance in my paypal and I am trying to deposit $20.00.

I am in the middle of transferring another $5.00 to my paypal and that is pending still. Maybe the pending transaction is keeping it from working.

The message I get actually says exactly the following "Sorry, we can't complete your purchase at this time"

http 500 error is a networking error on their end. Somehow when you try to deposit via PayPal it is not see that you are online at the time. You can use the same computer. Try a different browser, that is the fastest way. Otherwise, make sure you fully log out of Global and PayPal. Go to the settings and delete the cookies, then close out the browser completely, and if not too much of a PIA...reboot. Then you should be able to log back in to both with no issues. Try logging into PayPal first so it is already in the cache, then Global, and make your deposit. That error is network based not end user.

It would be REALLY great if a Global rep stopped by now and then.

The delete cookies clear cache log out reboot etc doesn't work for me anymore. I couldn't deposit for days, support was less than helpful... they told me to delete my browsers and redownload them to start over fresh, and were not able to identify this is a network based error. Then one day I was able to randomly deposit and they immediately dropped it saying it was resolved. 2 days later I can't deposit again and haven't been able to since. A rep on here responded to a PM after days saying Paypal told them it was because my credit card wasn't allowing the transaction, it was my fault. EL Oh EL? I'm using a cash paypal balance for the deposit attempts, not a credit card. After replying to the rep with this info I haven't heard a peep out of them again.

One thing I have not tried yet was to log into paypal first, will give it a try a dewd.

They need to check their logs to determine the cause of the error. The 500 Internal Server Error even reads as a server issue. Their Apache logs would identify the problem. I wonder if logging into another ssl site somehow conflicts with their own coding somehow. Completely talking off the top of my coconut here, but maybe the connection of the two sites is being identified as a possible intrusion or the logging into to the second site is disconnecting the first. Since everyone is still clearly logged into Global when this occurs, it seems that the issue is in the linking up of the two. Possibly different names/titles on the PayPal account and the Global one?

Probably making more of a fool of myself than anything with the mental meandering here, but I know one thing for sure....that error is on their end in the server.

Hi Everyone,

Thank you for your help. I deleted all history and cookies. I even ran the CCleaner to delete everything. I then rebooted.

I tried logging into paypal first. Then I logged into globalpoker and went through the deposit procedure. I tried to buy $20 worth of chips. It re-directed me to paypal and I did NOT hit the HTTP 500 error. But it just brings me to the main paypal page you get when you log in to paypal. It does not give me an opportunity to complete my transaction. So I could not deposit.

I have a $45 balance in paypal and I have a bank and credit card linked to the account. I have confirmed everything with paypal. My paypal is ready to go and can be used. I have sent money to people before using this paypal account.

I also tried using my IPHONE 6s to deposit. I open up safari and log into global poker. I then go to deposit and it redirects me to paypal log in. I complete the paypal log in and I get the following message "Sorry, we can't complete your purchase at this time. Please return to the merchant and choose another way to pay". That sounds like everything technically processed but the payment was denied for some reason. Again, I have more than enough money in my paypal to cover this transaction and I have a credit card and bank account linked to it.

So when is the last time anyone has heard from customer support in an email or in the forum? Not wanting to peruse through every thread here. Getting concerned

I'm waiting weeks for PMs to be answered. I saw a comment by a tech within the last 4 or 5 days, but there certainly has not been the usually array of posting by the support team.

After the ruling in Australia, I am getting the feeling we may not hear from them for a while.

I emailed them last night about the addons not being offered in the daily 750 and 1500 gtds. They replied rather quickly that the addons have been intentionally removed for now while they try and sort the problems with it. So someone is still there lol.

Other emails for other issues and PM's here continue to go unanswered.

I have been communicating with support through email as recently as yesterday. I corresponded with them a number of times in trying to correct my deposit issue. They gave me a few things to try but that did not work. They then told me to use my phone to try to log in and deposit which did not work.

I did not email them back since then. It is not a customer service/support issue. They are trying to resolve my problem. It is a technical issue beyond the control of customer service. It sounds like there is a technical problem that they do not know how to resolve.

What was the ruling in Australia? And when was this ruling? Thanks.

Australia banned online poker. Global is located in Australia.

Hi all! Don't worry, the Interactive Gambling Amendment Bill of 2016 only directly affects online poker players from Australia (who won't be able to cash out in the first place) and since our initial market is with the US and Canada, it's still business as usual for us.

As stated in our FAQ, "Global Poker is owned and operated by VGW Holdings Limited, a public company in Australia with obligations to operate at the highest financial and consumer protections standards.

As an Australian public company we are obliged to comply with all rules and regulations INCLUDING the protection of player sweeps and gold coins balances at any time."

Hey Tapirboy (is that a reference to the obscure animal by the way?), I got my first AMOE money today. I predicted I'd get it yesterday and was off by one day LOL. Gotten yours yet?

That is very good news, glad to hear it!

is there any benefit at all to gold coins other than buying ridiculous avatars? (serious question)

I am getting closer to being able to deposit but still can not complete my deposit.

1. I click the buy chips. - This works.
2. It takes me to paypal - This works
3. I log into paypal. - This now works but did not work in the past.
4. It ask me how I want to pay. Either with my balance or my credit card. - This works. Never got this far before.
5. I pick my method of payment. This works. - I never got this far before.
6. It ask me to confirm. - This is where it stops working. After I do this I get a "HTTP 500 NO AUTHORIZED USER IN SESSION" error.

I am getting closer to being able to deposit. But still can not deposit.

If it gets resolved for real, please update the resolution here. I have the same exact problem and know quite a few others who do as well (I have never had a problem with the first steps it's always the end where I get the HTTP 500 error.

The non March madness tournaments that start at :30 are still not synchronized.
03-24-2017 , 01:53 PM
They are not ignoring the issue. They are still working on the problem but no resolution yet. It sounds like they are going to have to do some technical debugging. No telling how long that will take.

They did send me an email yesterday that said the following.

-----
We appreciate that you took time to do the fix we have suggested however, we felt sorry that it still didn't work after trying the solution given. The best that we can do is to forward the matter to our Poker Team for them to scrutinize things further.

We will get back to you once we hear from them. For now, please extend your patience on us.

If there is any other concern you wish to talk to us about, please feel free to contact us again and we'll be glad to assist you anytime.
------

They are not ignoring us. But until their technical team can fix it then there is not much else they can do. Just thought I would pass this along.
