What web browser is everyone using these days? I used to have horrible luck with Chrome when I first started playing here probably 5 years now and moved to Opera. But now I've been getting disconnects. And it isn't my internet because the other two sites I'll be playing on won't go down at all. Maybe Chrome is better now, been using it only a couple days but just want to use the most stable browser for this site. The other day I had AKdd and got 3b and then poof it disconnected.

I know it's too late for this week, but the password for each newsletter freeroll is emailed out on the previous Friday in the Global Poker weekly newsletter. Check your junk folder if you're not getting it.

They need a mobile version that is easier to play. Something that is streamlined like ClubGG would increase traffic A TON. I know myself and others only have access to a phone to play alot of the time and trying to play global on a browser is not a good experience compared to competitors.

Phone devices if playing more than 3 tables can be tough for sure as its hard to swipe and does not really notify you visually due to how it is set but you may invest in a used ipad or something because it is dandy there and those are quite inexpensive now. Most likely will fix all of your problems much faster than GP releasing something. Just gotta bink one of them tournies you play!

playing from mobile is fine in the browser, it would be cool to have an app but i dont have any issues with mobile. im playing with OPERA browser, very fast and secure, and it links up perfectly with my laptop from home

i can easily 4-6 table 6max cash games from my iphone with ease, adding in a tourney or 3. i just gotta remember to keep the sounds on because without the alerts it would definitely make it a little more difficult to figure out what table needs my attention and requires action.

Opera browser, for my laptop as well as my iphone, i play global on both of my devices and the cool thing about opera is if you're logged in it is very compatible to swap between phones, laptops, desktops, tablets or whatever other device you got all along saving all of your settings in opera. its also hella fast compared to every other browser ive tried, and plays global poker witt he best of them, no complaints here.

Here's a fun question. Can I use as a random number generator without breaking third party rules?

Can I use Random.org website? What about a custom built program that runs on my desktop? What if something was done that made one of these automatically update every few seconds?

what would you be using RNG for during your play? genuinely curious, and as far as i know global doesnt allow any sort of software to be run alongside the poker client, but i dont want to mislead you or give you bad information so just email support.

I joined Global recently and am enjoying both gold and silver coin play. I have a question about the avatar ring color, which is normally green.

Certain avatars are related to events, like the Bear or Rattlesnake for various years, and they are often circled in gold or silver. Someone I played with had a darker blue PokerNews x Global Poker avatar, circled in one of those colors, different than the one we can purchase.

That makes sense, and I assumed these players won or placed in an event.

I notice that this pattern isn't always true, that sometimes these avatars are also circled in green.

So my question is - does the green indicate that the avatar was purchased?

Thanks and glta.

To clarify...I mean when the avatar is highlighted.

Sometimes during a hand I'll think something along the lines of "I'll probably want to call 2/3 of the time and raise 1/3 of the time with this hand." In order to make sure I'm actually doing that I'll use the randomizer to pick a number and my action will be based on that. Otherwise I may not actually behave in that frequency.

I'm 98% sure that using a program is a violation and would be met with some punishment. However, if the program is mimicking what a website is already doing does that mean that the use of that website is also banned?

Is there any way to activate the timebank automatically preflop as well?

In Harrington on Holdem part 1, Action Dan recommended using a "RNG" to randomize opening amounts. However, he was talking about a wristwatch. That would not violate TOS of course. You could do the same thing for the 2/3 vs 1/3 scenario.

Is there anyway to change the felt color of just one specific table, instead of changing them all?

No unfortunately.

There are 2 avatars for the Rattlesnake event, one with a wide gold/silver "cracked" border around the ring, the other with a narrower and simple gold border.

I see similar variations for the other competitions. What is the meaning of each of those 2 avatars? One GC and one SC, or different accomplishments?

Thanks!

Anyone have an issue in Chrome where videos won't play while you have Global Poker tables open?

How does Global Poker work if you want to play for real money (or their equivalent)? Do you just purchase Gold Coins and then play for SC? How valuable are SC? Can you withdraw them for real cash? If not what can you redeem them for?

Do I have the right idea here? Buy Gold Coins > get SC from GC purchase > play for SC > redeem or cash out SC for $

You have it right. You can redeem your SC for real cash directly to your bank or choose certain gift cards. 1 SC equals 1 dollar. Just be careful on the purchase and make sure you get SC for your gold coin purchases. Some gold coin purchases have tourney tickets instead of SC
