Agree to disagree. This topic has been talked about many times before in this forum, and my opinion is listed there. I won't expound upon it in the general questions thread. But the long and the short of it is "anonymous" data is a farce. But check the other threads this has been discussed for the reason why.

Or... they don't have the ability in the software
Or... they understand my point from above that anonymous data isn't anonymous.
Or... they don't need to spend resources on making features only a few percent of their users want
Or... they are fixing other bugs
Or... they don't care at all

If you really could only come up with those two options you posted.... perhaps your opinions are a bit over biased.

Pretty sure you can rule that one out.

Not gonna lie... I almost didn't include it, because the bugs seem to be pretty permanent don't they.

I like Global, don't get me wrong, but some of this has been around a very long time and still isn't fixed.

This ability has been demonstrated by the third party chrome extension pokerstats.io which GP had disabled.

I don't know the extent to what you mean about this. If you mean people could pool together their HH files and create a master database to determine average stats based on the player pool, I guess that's a way but this data is very convoluted and people using it won't have a bigger advantage than those who are paying attention to actual player names and adjusting their play to their specific opponents. It's not an advantage over playing good poker.

If you mean something else, you'll have to explain or link me to where it's explained because I'm not a statistics expert or computer scientist.

People just don't realize how much power GP has over their accounts (which is why I'm trying to get the point out there so that people understand). The average rec player doesn't generally keep accounting records of their gambling history (my assumption). I think if it were explained to the average player why this policy is bad that almost everybody would agree it should be changed. As I pointed out in my original post, I think you seemed to completely agree with me that not allowing players access to their own records just seems sketchy. What legitimate company practices this? I've been gambling for almost 15 years and I've never seen a company have this policy. I'm no lawyer but in a court of law I could easily imagine this being considered criminal.

But they did care enough to go out of their way to disable the pokerstats.io program to keep players from downloading their own hand histories.

Look, I'm not accusing GP of anything. AFAIK my account balance is exactly where it's supposed to be and they haven't yet appeared to do anything nefarious.

My point is to bring up that this policy leaves the door open for them to do just that very easily in the future. Or to just accidentally screw up someone's account balance and that person would have no means to stake a claim to their own funds.

Additionally, there have been many poker sites which were originally safe places to play which for whatever reason, bad management, lack of funding, greed; eventually they decided to turn corrupt and screw over the players. This has happened so many times in online poker that I can't even name them all. Absolute and FTP are the first ones that come to mind, but I believe it's happened to a number of non-US facing sites also.

The RNG thread is where you will find responses I made to these comments and similar ones. TLDR (because mostly likely no one will) if you don't trust Global don't play here.

https://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/2...2/index97.html

Also I didn't list those reasons to come up with reasons that I think are actually true. My point was only that your "It must be this or that" viewpoint is flawed and to approach a topic of "their motives must be evil because the ONLY two explanations of their actions are also evil" is logically invalid

I agree Global could be up to no good, but even if they put out hand histories, couldn't they just dump enough "noise" in the histories to keep us from seeing the "rigged" hands? Surely they could.

This comes back to the point I make in the RNG thread. Either you trust Global or you don't. If you don't, don't play here. It really is that simple. Because no matter what numbers are presented, no matter how transparent they are, no matter what player friendly polices they have in place, they could still be crooked and robbing you. There will always be another marshall28 in these forums claiming that unless Global does what he says it proves something is fishy.

Do I want more transparency? Of course. I think we should have records of what happens at the tables. And could they lie about those numbers? Of course. But then it still comes back to my point, doesn't it? Do you trust them?

@marshall28... do you still have the Porsche?

Does any one else have trouble with clicking on some players and making notes? Particularly players in seats on the left side of the screen? Like players in seats 5/6. And sometimes other seats also. I can’t pull in the small window that allows me to click on notes or mute player etc. Using Chrome on a Windows computer and Safari on a Mac. Both same issue.

Haven't played either of the Sunday majors on Global yet but havr done well in other 10-minute blind tourneys on there.

What are your impressions of the Sunday Teaser and Scrimmage? Worth it value-wise? Any (reasonable) reservations in these majord since last weekend's Rattlesnake debacle?

Thanks in advance, y'all!

Yes I have trouble periodically in Chrome browser with similar issues as you. :/

Played some tourneys tonight for the first time in a while, and holy crap what a ****show. Massive lag and freezing screens, lobby tournament information that doesn't update, weird translucent overlays that keep me from being able to click on anything so I have to reload all the windows and then I can't find my table because it opens up a bunch of unrelated windows for tournaments I busted out of half an hour ago... just unbelievable chaos. It's god damn ridiculous to have such a horrible user experience in 2018.

Hey Global Poker! I have a GENERAL QUESTION for your stickied thread: Do you guys plan on ever fixing anything, ever? Because we've been paying you an awful lot of rake and your site is a total dumpster fire of broken ****.

Has anyone been experiencing this kind of stuff today 5/27? Anything like last weekend?

Came back to check on this thread for the first time in about a week and I see things are still a mess. Again: Fix the rake structure and software and more of us will deposit here.

Hey....how many hands/hr are people averaging on a 6-handed table?

How do you play more than one table at a time?

Two options.

1. Turn open tables in new window. Log into Global, click the gear at the top left. Go down to Tables and Themes and turn the first option on.

2. Just open other tables and tab will open at the top of the screen with the table you have already open. Just click on the lobby and find new tables to play.

I was trying to play a cash game and a SNG and I couldn't get the SNG to open.

Hi Global Poker, I have another GENERAL QUESTION!

Which forward-thinking genius decided it would be a good idea to make me confirm location-dependent cash out policies by forcing a dialog that makes all windows disappear IN THE MIDDLE OF MY ****ING SESSION WHEN I HAVE MULTIPLE TABLES OPEN AND HAVE ACTIVE HANDS IN PLAY?

Just curious. Thanks!

I'm detecting a little sarcasm there.
