FOLDED HOLE CARDS EXPOSED IN HAND REPLAY [RESOLVED] FOLDED HOLE CARDS EXPOSED IN HAND REPLAY [RESOLVED]

03-21-2019 , 05:25 AM
I was just viewing a PLO hand replay and noticed that I could see the hole cards of a player on the table who folded on the flop!

it's not even like the player mucked on the river or anything. They folded on the flop and their cards remained visible as action continued between myself and a different opponent.

Has anyone else encountered this? This seems fairly serious...

I've never seen it, so far.

I have seen that in NL where in replay my hole card and another were visible from start of hand to end, but never payed attention if he had folded at any point. I also have seen screen names during replay, where everyone is mostly assigned random numbers.

yup, if that person watches the replay of that hand it shows his or her cards as well.

I have had this happen a few times.

they did that on purpose. anyone who clicks on the hh link from the dealer can see the cards of any player in the hand who also clicked on the link.

if you dont want that information shared you have to look at your hh in the lobby

Is this intended for some reason or is your software just broken?

So it becomes disadvantage to use the replayer. Please make sense of that.

The way Kimber nonchalantly responded comes off as if they intend to do this. Yes, obviously this makes no sense, but neither does their blind positioning in HU play. An issue I've literally been bringing up for months without a notice from her. You just have to accept this sites flaws unfortunately.

Plus someone changed the thread title to resolved. Is this truly what Global wants their software to do?

Yeah, if anything this thread just got opened wider with this information. How is this not an issue?

We have a replayer, but if you use it players can gain an edge on you and we think this is how it should be. --Global

Their rep responded to other threads, but skipped this one other than saying yup this. I would appreciate a response on this issue.

You mean the next to useless hand history that you can't even scroll through?

Bump for global rep

Bump for Kimbr/Global to respond to the issue.

i really dont see this being an issue for a site that has been adamant that they are a site for rec players, not professionals, and really, what sort of ev do u think you're giving up? do people use the hand replayer for anything other than coolers or funny bluffs they caught? the way i see it they show the hands of everyone that watched the replay as a sort of social aspect to the site. like when a guy asks in chat "what did u have?" with this replayer you can show them.

I’m on board with it not being a huge issue. I want them to start acknowledging flaws in their software or stating yes we intended to do this because x.

agreed, tough to get a straight response a lot of the time
