Probably just checking their bases to make sure no chip dumping as you immediately tried to withdrawal. Most people know you play HS often, so I think after a quick review you wont have anything to worry about they're just doing their due diligence.

Picking 9k withdrawal to avoid 10k+ extra care from banks maybe didnt help.

OP is among the most honorable regs on Global who also goes out of his way to make the site a fun atmosphere. I would be absolutely shocked if he did anything that wasn’t completely above board.

I can’t comment on specific cases (and have not reviewed this case), but as other have intimated there are triggers around IP sharing, speed of loss / win, etc that will always automatically trigger reviews. This is to protect the site but mostly to protect the integrity of the games. Most reviews end with a simple unblocking.

Hi GTOH....

I am currently a distinguished gentleman and in the past I was featured on Chapelle's Show at the World Series of Dice under my real name of Larry.

Here is my perspective on the events of Sunday. First, I do not know if those games had anything to do with your account being flagged as I did not report any suspected cheating to anyone at Global. I don't think that I was cheated, but I also don't know you or anyone else there from Adam, and I can't confidently say that no one uses RTA or any other banned software. I trust Global security to find players who do though.

I do have respect for you, as you are not only a good player, you are also the only one who honors my request to not instantly sit on my left when I play higher than 2.5/5. You also go out of your way to be engaging in chat which is also somewhat rare.

I had just won quite a bit at Global's table games and decided to gamble it up at 10/20. While I believe that I am a winning player when I am on my A game at 2.5/5, I certainly am not winning at the higher stakes and especially not at tables full of regs. So I decided to pump the variance up the max by 3betting close to 75%. I don't have exact stats as Global doesn't allow poker tracker, and I haven't even owned a copy of that software since before Black Friday, but I doubt that I'm very far off. It was almost unbelievable the amount of times that my best hand or draw was backdoor trips in those pots, but that's just variance and irrelevant to your situation.

You were the only one who actively played back at me with more marginal holdings and I was actually sad when you quit those games even though you had won so much from me. Most of the other players seemed content to wait for super premiums and only then play back at me. In the large pots that I played against you I don't know how anyone could see evidence of chip dumping as I mostly got it in with somewhat decent equity on the flop. My strategy was not just to pot every hand on every street. You just happened to win most of the pots we played. They could easily have gone my way if I had ran better. At one point after you left I was actually begging the other people to 3/4bet me wider.

Since I was made aware of this thread, I have made my opinion about those games known to support at Global, but I don't know if that will do anything for your situation, as again, the reason for your account being flagged could be totally unrelated to our games on Sunday, and I know nothing about you other than what I have stated in this post and what you have said in this thread.

Another poster was correct saying that my account has not been flagged and is still active. I have had many big wins and losses and have never had any issues with cashing out the wins at Global. They have always treated me extremely well and paid promptly. While I do trust Global with my money, I also agree that it is very dumb to keep large amounts on any poker site, even if they are totally regulated by US authorities. After all, no FDIC insurance exists for online poker.

As a side note, after I quit those games I did make it all back the way I made it in the first place and am currently in the process of cashing it out instead of spewing it to the 10/20 crowd again. So in effect Global funded an early Christmas gift for you, the other 10/20 regs, and me. I just acted as Santa to you guys. If security finds that you did nothing wrong I hope that you enjoy your win, and I look forward to playing with you in the future, although hopefully in a slightly less spewy manner.

Sincerely,

A very cultured gentleman.

Wow I would have never thought you were going to find this thread crazy how word travels so fast and yeah those games were certainly a lot of fun and I had a lot fun gambling with you in a very less predatory way than some of these other guys we were playing with that have no respect for you or anything else other than making the most money they can which is why I could have sat to your left but chose not to.. I think I will be okay and I hope you do withdraw that money you got back assuming from blackjack after talking to you in the chat. I do hope to play again and am confident that I will.

Well this thread seems to be wrapping up like a good Thai massage.

Yes I do read this forum from time to time mostly to check out other people's experiences at Global. I was alerted to this situation at the tables yesterday and came here to give my 2 cents.

After thinking about it more there may have been a couple pots that could have had the appearance of chip dumping when looked at in a vacuum, but certainly not in the context of the entire session. I'm not sure if they were against you or not but I do remember making a few 0 equity pot bluffs on paired/flush boards that were snap shoved over and I folded even though I was getting a million to 1 odds. But that's all they were, dumb 0 equity bluffs where I folded to save an extra 1 or 200 dollars because I obviously had no outs. Just thought I would clear that up to address any potential appearance of impropriety in those hands.

Hi everyone great news I got my account back. I would like to thank you all for the feedback and support and also thank global for getting this handled quickly and fairly. I was thinking about taking down the thread but I actually think it is good to keep to let players know that if there account gets blocked to not freak out like I did.. just be calm and work with support and if you did not do anything wrong you will get your account back.
