Fast Fold? Fast Fold?

Hey all. Is Global Poker bringing fast fold to the site anytime soon? I love that feature on Ignition and ACR.

Fast fold would attract more regulars to the site. I wouldn't imagine Global wants that for their site. I'd be interested to see if they have plans for it in the future as well though.

I don't play at Global currently, but I would move a good chunk of my bankroll to them if they brought fast fold. Perhaps they don't currently have the traffic to support it?

They don't have the traffic to support it and like CodeRed said, long term it makes the site less appealing for recreational players which isn't their MO

They have it, it was a beta, it worked well iirc. Maybe when the site grows to a bigger pool of players they might bring it back. Personally, I prefer Global without FastFold/Zoom/Zone. It is a more rec friendly site without it, imho.

they had it when i first joined if i remember right

think its more about bottom line and not splitting up the ring player base vs keeping out a specific type of player

fast fold seems like a rake chase/nit fest

mayB a fast fold mtt? wouldnt split a player base but provide the ever changing dynamic that makes fast fold fuN?

im all for more games and variants tho and wouldnt be mad seein it in the lobby

Don’t do anything to make Global more like ACR or BoL.

I’d rather be a line worker at a factory, then play cash on those two sites.

I know the issues with ACR. I’d rather poke my eyes out then face 4 rakeback pros at a 6max table. What’s the issue with bol? I’ve never played there so just genuinely curious. It was an option I was tempted to try but went with global instead and haven’t really looked back.

To be fair, its not as horrible as the hyperbole may suggest. The cash-outs are nearly instant for crypto, which is a major plus. They also had a redeposit bonus match of 100% which is what got me to fire there.

In the past week i played like 10k hands there across PLO 50-200. The player pool is small, and the regulars are very very tight. You do get your occasional punter, usually someone that is coming from the casino (they have a contest leaderboard for 3 card casino poker or other casino games, so you can see the crossover). But they either go on a heater, or fizzle out quickly. Then its the same 10/8 boring ass regs waiting for cooler spots. They aren't super stars, but they also aren't taking any high variance spots, or doing anything interesting, pretty much ever.

The existence of stables/mafias is also a negative for me. It wouldn't be so bad if there were more players, but because of the smaller fields, they will prey upon the low hanging fruit pretty quickly. Tough to beat a 6max table, where 3 of the 6 aren't necessarily colluding, but have an interest in not going hard on each other. Kills the action a ton.

To end on a positive, they have straddle tables where you can double/triple straddle and buy-in for 150bb which is pretty cool. ACR has bomb pots which is another fun feature that I have to give them credit for.
