10-18-2017 , 10:45 AM
Yep, invalid email or password still for me as well
10-18-2017 , 10:51 AM
I wasn't able to get in yesterday, but today I am getting in just fine. Sounds like there still may be more issues.
10-18-2017 , 02:05 PM

10-18-2017 , 04:32 PM

I'm able to login/play no prob (seattle area), but some of my settings had been reset to default
10-18-2017 , 04:59 PM

10-18-2017 , 05:20 PM
In Chicago, i still get the invalid username or password error
10-18-2017 , 06:17 PM
This is depressing. Time to log in to mothballed ACR or Carbon. I think I left $$ in both for a rainy day.
10-18-2017 , 06:19 PM
Yep i think im going back to carbon as well
10-18-2017 , 06:28 PM

I am sorry I hijacked your thread, Tizull. I did not mean to do that!

I've been down this whole time and emailed Global support about it. They said the problem should eventually resolve itself, but if I wanted to log on immediately to set IPv4 DNS servers to Google public DNS (8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4). Just tried it and it worked.

How do I do that?

If you're on Windows, go to Network & Sharing Center > Wi-Fi > Properties > double-click on Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4). Fill in 8.8.8.8 for preferred DNS server and 8.8.4.4 for alternate DNS server.

Will doing this change any other aspects of my wi-fi or internet or speed or anything else? Seems I should not even have to do something like that?

I am unable to log in from California.

Finally found my log in stuff from here though

It will change things for everything else, and likely for the better. I can give a long winded explanation of why it works, but i don't think that anyone cares. The TLDR of it is Global made a change to their DNS records, and sometimes these take a while to go out to other DNS servers. The problem will resolve itself as they indicate, but it depends on many variables. So changing to those settings will fix it right away.

If anyone is curious beyond this explanation, I am happy to provide it, but I don't want to further hijack this already off course thread.

If you changed your DNS, also try to flush your dns

With administrative privilages in a command prompt run

ipconfig /flushdns

Then try again.

If it still doesn't work, ping public.globalpoker.com and let me know what you get

I changed DNS settings too also cleared cash and restarted but still get same message - Invalid username or password - I even tried changing password again but same message!

I live just south of Chicago

They sent me a link to change my password, and to clear my cache and cookies but it still giving me the same thing, invalid username or password
10-19-2017 , 01:34 PM
Yeah it still sounds like some strange issues going then. I would also check to see if you

ping globalpoker.com

and

ping public.globalpoker.com

What you want to happen is for it to give back an IP address and then ask global support if it is there servers. For example, mine is

globalpoker.com = 52.17.217.52
public.globalpoker.com = 52.50.253.14

Your results may vary, since they do load balance and will have likely many servers, but you should get something back, and global can confirm they are the correct servers.

If they still can't fix it, I can walk you through a way to modify something call your hosts file, but we should do that over PM.

Also... hijack of thread complete Sorry OP
10-19-2017 , 03:36 PM
wow, this is a very bad look imo. this would be literally my #1 focus if I were global. I bet this is just the tip of the iceberg...
10-19-2017 , 04:04 PM
Well I have done it all and still can not log in. Cleared cache, cookies, cleared DNS cache, tried different browser, tried incognito mode, disabled addons, closed all other programs, changed my internet settings to 8.8.8.8./8.8.4.4, pinged as mentioned, changed password, used VPN set to West coast, and whatever others have suggested. Why I can't let it go and not think about it for a few days, I don't know, but it is really frustrating me. People who are not tech savvy, and do not follow 2+2 forums must left in the dark. I have spent hours on this e-mailing support, reading replies from support, refreshing this thread, changing passwords and settings, searching the internet etc. Somebody stop me!!!
10-19-2017 , 04:12 PM
I understand that issues come up and that we all need to have patience, but if it's been nearly 4 days and they still have not solved the invalid username and password, then just cash me out and allow me to go elsewhere. I honestly don't feel they care because we are such a small group of users who can not sign in
