Yep, I got the exact same response. Then I wrote back saying that it had still not been fixed, I did a few password resets and nothing has been solved. They sent me an email saying to be patient while they try to work out the issues.

It's blocking IPS from new york state. So I'm pulling off almost all my money before it's too late. If you're from New York I advise you do the same thing. I was able to connect using my VPN switching it to California. So yeah not good. Bad sign guys. GET YOUR MONEY OUT NOW!

Someone on here said they can't log in and they are from Buffalo. Suddenly once I changed my IP to make it appear that I was in another state I was able to log in no problem. I already put in my cash out request, better to be safe than sorry, can always re deposit.

It is possible that I am wrong about NYS being blocked, but why then when I switch states on my IP address does it let me log in no problem?

It lets me log in and out randomly. Sometimes I can log in then 20 min later I can't. Just having issues I think. Also maybe try another browser

Because servers load balance which server you are on based on your location. Something we know Global does (as do all websites to accommodate for load). This was the explanation we found when some users were getting hit with bad lag and others were not.

I live in VA, and my IP is here in VA, and guess what, I can't get in either. So unless the blocked NY and VA, I think your theory is a little half baked. Much more likely is that the server that us East Coast players get routed to is having issues.

With that said, as I have always advised, if you are keeping more funds on Global than is wise, you likely should put in a withdraw request anyway. To panic like this with less that 24 hours of downtime seems like you might have more on there than you should. Deep breath in, deep breath out.

Everyone knows that NY state doesn't regulate phones, so this makes sense

I've tried 4 different broswers private browsing and my cellular device, the only thing that worked for me is switching my ip using my vpn. I'm not going to play using the VPN though because I don't want them to flag my account and deny my pending withdraw.

and yeah my theory was probably less than half baked, but you have to admit it's strange that I can use my VPN to log in but can't any other way.

See above for a completely rational explanation. To what is happening. Feel free to keep freaking out too. Either way, I agree, a VPN isn't a viable long term solution. But I figure they will get it figured out.

Well you sound more intelligent than me so I'll take your word on it.

Will you stake me if global goes under though?

I was the one who said I was from Buffalo, NY. I tried my browsers, VPN, Cell phone not using my wi-fi and still no log in. I think your theory about NY being blocked is jumping the gun a little. (I hope!)

set your VPN to log in from the west coast and you'll be in no problem

I am sure they are fixing it as fast as they can. But 1 year ago I wasn't playing any online poker, so I can wait.
10-18-2017 , 01:24 AM
Hi guys,

Firstly, apology about the delay in response.

We had a back office server update last night which was not supposed to effect the front end. Clearly you can see from this thread in some instances it has.

As somebody guessed above we were moving some of our servers and there is a lag time in the amount of time it took for some areas to move over. This is why some people were effected and some were not.

We hope that all should be back online over the next 12 hours. Apologies for the inconvenience this has caused people and thank you so much for all your patience.

Team Global Poker

fyi my saved settings were reset today. perhaps the guy at the start of this thread didn't go thru the options. set all your options back to how you like them.

too bad they didn't implement any changes except for the minimum bi!
10-18-2017 , 09:27 AM
Oh I started the thread to ask if we could get "patch notes" and it it got derailed by others.
