Chrome Sound Fix Chrome Sound Fix

I posted this in the "no sound" thread, but i figure it's important enough for it's own thread.

Anyways... adding globalpoker to chrome as an exception doesn't work. The reason is the javascript coding for globalpoker is broke.

"The AudioContext was not allowed to start. It must be resume (or created) after a user gesture on the page. https://goo.gl/7K7WLu"

https://developers.google.com/web/up...anges#webaudio

Basically when the site loads it is looking for some kind of onscreen click or user interaction before audio is allowed to play. This is what i did to get sound working:

1. Log in
2. Wait for the site to load
3. Then refresh the site
4. Immediately as it starts to refresh just start clicking (constantly) the blank page as the bar loads across the page.
5. When it finally loads you should have sound back

The above works 95% of the time for me. If it doesn't work just repeat the steps again.

I swear these poker sites should pay me for supporting them sometimes. I must of posted a dozen fixes/workarounds for Ignition before i ditched them. Took me a few hours to figure this one out.

Thanks so much, I feel like one of those little kids hearing sound for the first time in those cochlear implant videos.

This reminds me of the trick that allowed users to multi-account tournaments on Party Poker.

I don't remember that one.

It was around 13 years ago and involved rage clicking the log-in menu.

The fix works great btw, thanks for posting it.
