I was looking into this. So what is happening is your money is being converted into another fiat currency and actually global and its processor is responsible for this. If you look on the global poker page it says you can buy sweeps cash with USD.It doesn't say anywhere you have to buy it with another currency. So basically what I think is happening is world pay is located in china and they have to convert the usd into yuan. Then you guys are getting hit with foreign transaction fee. So whos responsible? Well its global poker because it clearly shows you can buy sweeps cash with usd. It doesn't say anywhere the money has to be converted. ONce that conversion starts then you will be hit with a fee. Its not the bank or credit card charging you fees to do a transaction. Whats happening is the USD is being turned into another currency and then to turn a any currency into another currency there is always going to be a fee for that. Thats global poker and their processor problem. Now if they stated on global poker that there is a conversion fee and your not really buying sweeps cash with usd but with yuan thats different. But they don't state that. So they are responsible for those fees anytime that conversion happens. They just don't want to pay but they are actually responsible for it.
I have done this ACR and they refund me back for it. And its a company in china that converts the usd into another currency. they understand they are responsible for the conversion because it doesn't state anywhere that they have to convert the money. They are trying to say its bank problem. Its their problem because they have to convert your usd into another currency to give you sweeps cash. It says we can buy sweeps cash with usd so if they have to convert the money to another currency thats their issue with their processor not ours. I see some people don't have a fee. So sometimes they aren't converting it to USD is my guess. Maybe they fixed it now I am not sure. Has anyone been hit with fees lately?
And this the company i am guessing they are using.
https://www.worldpay.com/global/abou...xpertise/china and this is in china like i expected. So they are converting your usd to yuan if your being charged a fee. (World Pay)-Visa and MasterCard, on the other hand, only account for 3% of e-Commerce card payments. This should be stated on global poker website this foreign transaction fee. Of course they don't want to post this cause people wont do deposits. But then they aren't responsible for the fee. But if they don't post it they should credit players back for the fee. What I don't understand is how they pay back players without a fee if its the same processor. But are charging a fee to do a deposit. It doesn't make any sense. My guess is world pay is then hit with foreign transaction fees to send the money back us.
