captcha captcha

When I logged into gp this morning I was forced to do a captcha? First time ever. And then I was playing play money tables and global auto closed to another captcha page which I completed. Global reopened then I played for about 10-15 minutes then again all tables insta closed, and forced to do another captcha! This happened like 4 times in 1 hour? I was playing 6 play money tables so I could get 500 hands to play in the 4pm freeroll.

Has this happened to anybody else? Is this now standard protocol?

Also, starting a few days ago every time I log into gp I've been asked to allow gp to access my location. I always choose no.

Ok, so after I got my 500 hands I closed all the tables but still had global tab opened. Came to 2+2 to start this thread about the captcha.

I just clicked on the gp tab and it's on another captcha page. So I had gp open but was not playing any poker and it still went to a captcha page. What's up?

This could be a way to prevent bots. I have not seen this yet

I logged on yesterday to check game entrant amounts and it asks to allow location (1st time ever) so something changed. I kinda would like to know what changed and wish they would be more transparent about changes made to T.O.S.

I am also getting the location prompt, I also always say no. I havne't seen the captcha yet though. Will keep an eye out

Have not seen this again yet. I'm surprised nobody else has seen it. I wish I had taken a screenshot. It basically closed all my tables and went to a page which read: Sorry for the inconvenience but we just want to make sure your mouse works. Then when I completed captcha global reloaded and all my tables opened back up.

kimber or joey any info on this?

Hey,

Yes - this is one of the many new tools implemented by our Game Integrity Team to keep our games recreational player friendly.

Thanks to players reporting regulat sightings in quick succession. All feedback has been passed on.

A kaptcha is a great way to do a low level security check, and not (too) intrusive. I applaud Global Poker for having more security than most larger sites. Bravo!
