Can you gauge ecosystem from #tables/limit ? Can you gauge ecosystem from #tables/limit ?

Right now Global has following games running. IIRC, the healthiest sites formed a pyramid with the most games running at the micros and least at high stakes. This is global's structure at 3:20am EST.

If > half full = full.
Bolded = able to combine.

3knl = 1 full, 3 s/h
1knl = 5 full,
600 = 2 full
400 = 3 full

200 = 6 full, 1 s/h
100 = 8 full
50 = 12 full, 5 s/h
20 = 8 full
10 = 7 full, 2 s/h
4 = 11 full, 1 s/h

No data for mid day and weekend play, iirc it's similar and tapers off at $5/10+.

Iyo - is this fine in terms of sustainability? For x reference, Pokerstars had the most tables running at the smallest limit. Interestingly, on Global 50nl is when the effective rake begins to drop.

hard to tell because a lot of the same players mass multi table and you get maybe 1-2 fish per table instead of 2 regs vs 4 fish like it used to be.

idk if it matters. even on the bigger US sites you end up playing the same people over and over at each stake level.

just play and have fun with whatevers avail IMO

talking about an eco system in US poker is like talking about the variety of life in a desert lol

Compared to what? The largest site in the world? This post shows 60+ tables running. That is an ecosystem. That is a lot of tables. Average live poker rooms have around 30 tables total.

I don't really understand your question tbh. Most sites I have ever played on form the pyramid. About a year ago I would say there were twice as many tables as you posted in the OP, with about half as many players I would consider "pros". So compared to a year ago it's bad. The honeymoon phase is over, and no more Paypal. There is no sportsbook and afaik you need a separate account for the casino, so they generate no overlap in those areas as well. They do very little to protect the recs other than spout "no HUDs allowed". Like it's 2018 homie, nobody needs a HUD to stack a fish. It will find an equilibrium, as I assume some "pros" will head back to other US sites when WRs drop.

I think the difference in microstakes (when you compare to PS) just has a lot to do with the demographics. Global is obviously US/Canehda, whereas PS gets a lot of traffic from 2nd and 3rd world markets.
