Anyone from the UK joining us yet? Anyone from the UK joining us yet?

So in looking at a different question for someone else on 2+2 I went through the Sweepstakes rules again. I found a few interesting phrases that make me think either UK players are here or are coming soon. Below is one of the references I found and the link:

"UK participants can receive Sweepstakes/Prize Promotion Cash by sending a stamped #10 envelope, hand written, to VIRTUAL GAMING WORLDS, GLOBAL POKER SWEEPSTAKES DEPARTMENT, 548 MARKET ST #73140, SAN FRANCISCO, CA 94104"

i think anyone from all over the world can do this, but they can't cash out unless US or CA

Agreed, the reps have actually confirmed this to be true. But with that language I think Global is expanding globally. I think soon, if not already, UK players will be able to cash out as well.

Oh really, so I can play now and should be able to cash out latter assuming everything goes to plan? Sounds good.
I wonder if Italians, Spaniards and the French can play there to bypass their ridiculous tax laws?
Also, to anyone with an account on there, do you know if they offer Limit Hold em?

Thanks

They do offer limit hold'em, and I normally see a table or two run durning peak hours for the site. Normally it is the $0.4 is the big bet at that game, although games are offered up to $4 as the big bet.

With that said, for sure check with Global that you can get paid in PayPal before you play. I just happened to notice it in the TOS and started asking questions. I haven't confirmed it is true yet.

I would strongly urge you to proceed with caution.

Do we intend on opening up to players from the UK and Western Europe at some point. It is likely. But nothing is official and there are definitely no dates in mind.

At the moment we have cash out services for American and Canadian players. That is all.

There is no guarantee as to if or when other countries will have services so if you do make a purchase to play please be aware that there is no way for you to cash out any winnings at this time.

Thanks
