I was thinking about playing some sats for the bigger events on Global. Is there a workaround to get $ or TD like ACR? For example, if I purchase the main event tix, does the sat prize convert to $ or TD?

I am not sure about all of the details, but what I can tell you is Global doesn't have Tournament Dollars but instead gives you tickets to the events you satellited into. I also believe they tend to auto register you for the event you got the ticket for.

Hopefully others with more experience can explain the finer points of what happens when you have two tickets to one event, or if your ticket can be used in multiple events.

I have limited experience with the satellite tickets, but here's how it worked for me. I won three tickets to the level 2 Sunday $40k satellite, whatever they're called. They were put in my inventory under my profile, and I could use them to register into any of the applicable tournaments (by the time I got around to it there were only two weekly options). They all expired on August 10th, about a month or so after I won them. If I registered one of the tournaments and unregistered, the ticket would be returned to my inventory. There wasn't any way of turning them into cash or exchanging them for other tournament tickets, as far as I could tell.

A little while ago they ran some pop-up satellites or something of the sort, and since the ticket was only good for entry to one tournament, I believe you were automatically registered and never given a ticket (IIRC).

I think the satellites can be pretty good value, especially if you're just filling in your tournament schedule for the day. They definitely don't run often enough to grind solely satties, though.
