The 2k has been pretty lively lately. Lots of tables going most nights.

I am dead money at PLO50, small winner at PLO10, the jury is still out regarding PLO20.

Do you guys have any thoughts about playing against the Bots at Omaha Poker training.com? I am thinking about giving it a try.

cant speak on omaha poker training, but i would just use PLO trainer. you can drill preflop/flop/turn spots, use buckets to find patterns and a bunch of other solid features. definitely helps if you put the time in

I might have looked at GTO Trainer instead of PLO Trainer.

$100 a month won't work out very well for me during a pandemic. I sell mostly Bank REPOS and there has been a moratorium on foreclosures. Pre-pandemic and almost certainly post but not a good idea at the moment.

I've been using Vision on Run It Once, but debating switching to PLO Trainer. It seems like you can deep dive on a lot more and it also has HU included for less than the price of subscribing to 6max and HU on RIO.

I like Vision and the quiz mode is cool, but would like to be able to dive deeper into sims, I think.

PLO50 is that much harder than PLO 10?

I am not 100% sure. I felt like I was getting outplayed, but my sample size is very small. I only took a couple of shots at the game and it didn't go well.

I was winning small pots and losing big pots and that is a sure sign of being in over your head.

Yeah if you're only a small winner at PLO10 (rake is high tbf), study tools are going to be necessary. How much of it is applicable to PLO10, who knows, but with some tools you'll develop a good baseline to start with.

I personally use Vision, which has its limitations in some ways and is pricey, but it's constantly rolling out new features and like to quiz myself on there. Monkersolver is also terrific on its own and in combination with Vision's customizable practice modes, but this is more personal prep for down the road -- some other tools might have a similar future of plugging Monker ranges into their quiz modes.

Either way you can't go wrong looking for study tools at this point. Whatever you go with, your future improvements+winnings will cover its cost.

I haven't been on site in just over 2 months so not sure if this is a level, but I played him at PLO200 about 3 months ago and seemed ok. To his defense, he did say he was running terrible so was a bit tilted.

Saw a comment earlier from Smitty, regarding low traffic, not sure if that changes with no real enhancements to site.

As an aside, if you're still playing live Shanghai, with your history in FL, come on down next month. Tampa Summer Series announced and finally, some PLO, 2 with buy ins over $1k where I believe each will see a $200k prize pool. NLE ME has $2M guarantee but I'm betting rollz it get to at least $3M, if not $3.5.

I only said that because I saw them 3 tabling Minniemouse h/u 10/20, and holding their own.

And that sounds really good, Florida/Texas becoming the live poker epicenter it seems in the US.

Not sure. Has TeFiti ever played a hand after doubling up?

He has in the new PLO8 games. Still an A** when people buy in for less than max or don't top-up

Wow that's lucky for you.

My latest experience was a few days ago at 7am he was begging to get another table going, i sat four handed, he 3b nonsense and we get it in 3 way allin on flop, he scoops, and insta sits out and leaves, after two of us topped back up.

He was still sat in playing at the other table as well.

At this point its my fault for not expecting this type of behavior, therefore I really shouldn't be getting mad about it.

I guess he thinks me a fish, but respects that you'll win your money back

Same old Aalt, different day.

I’ve often wondered if him and Papi are friends. They both seem to utilize a highly aggressive speech play strategy, not afraid to come off as complete a-holes.

There are fewer things in life funnier than a Papi meltdown.

Aalt/Tef, probably paying bills with each double up, hence the auto sit out.

Would throw omgtroyaikman in there as the micro stakes version. Really gives off an overly sweaty mouthbreather vibe.

I am working through a month subscription to Omahapokertraining.com. The jury is still out so no verdict at this time. It has helped my pre-flop game so I am +EV on the first $40.

If I continue, I will pay a year in advance and the cost per month goes down a significant amount.

You play against five bots, with another bot as your advisor.

You pick the games level of difficulty, total fish to all Pros and you choose the advisor's level of interaction. Do you want advice on every street, only when you ask or only when you do something stupid.

You can select an advisor, LAG, TAG, GTO, total NIT or varying degrees of each.

I am currently playing the second most difficult game, with a LAG advisor and only getting advice when I do something stupid. I am getting a lot of advice.

I started with a GTO advisor, then a TAG but neither seemed to fit the play I have observed at PLO50. I am probably going to back down one degree of difficulty in an attempt to match games I have seen at PLO50.

The only downside, it is boring, but very little training is exciting so that should be expected. I set it like ZOOM poker so it deals another hand when I fold.

The biggest long-term winners play tight-passive and just print playing their double suited / nutted aces, etc. when the random aggro-reg or rec player decides to play a hand vs them.

If you're doing anything other than tight-passive in PLO ur doing it wrong.

Very boring game, play NL instead.

At what level does the impact of the rake lessen?
