Smitty and KMF best players of course!

I had to call out Aalte at a table this morning after he berated a rec for how he played a hand. I normally just mute the guy but he has been out of control lately. Wonder if some people lobbied maybe GP would server mute him.

Agree Smitty and KMF by far best players on this site.

AAlt is an interesting guy. Last I talked to him, he plays fulltime and under-rolled (assumed based on him bitching about losing 1 buyin at PLO1k). I won't go into further detail due to him knowing who I am and what city I live near. Fear for my life.

I seen him at 5/10, legitimately felt worried, but was pulling for him nonetheless!

CTB123, cardiobunny, jnandez, SYOTR are my top picks, in that order

I’ve never seen someone sit out as fast as AlteM when a fish busts.

A lot of AAxx hands, especially in the small blind, are trash. I wouldn't fold them preflop for a half-bet. But if you're facing a raise or two ahead of you preflop, dump them if at least one isn't suited and the xx aren't connected in some way.

If you're taking a flop that completely misses against two or more opponents, check-fold the things.

When in doubt AA should be a 3b from SB all day. I don't mind flatting some bad AA in sb like AA72r or something. Folding AA pre especially with multiple callers is a no no no.

Post flop it just depends on the board. Can just check give-up on like a 9TJ board for example where you have no relevant blockers to any FDs, Qx, pairs etc. Other boards you just have to commit go with it and embrace the variance.

thanx, I'm gonna try this. Aces are overplayed and only 1 pair. 1 pair in plo rarely wins in monster pots. Most people don't understand this.

Is this whole thread a troll now? Are we really saying folding AA pre is good. **** man no wonder I suck.

once i started folding AAxx pre i started winning! coincidence? i think not. FOLD ALL AA PRE

less should i fold AA pre talk and more talk about literally anything else please

Anyone here jump into the PLO bounty tournaments on Monday? What are your thoughts on progressive bounties for PLO tournaments?

edit: also looks like they changed the structure of the rebuy tournaments as well

Is the jnandez user on this site the same one that makes videos and plays on other sites?

As far as high stakes regs I respect cardio is pretty damn good.

Does acr have much plo action? How about plo tournaments? Thanks

Theres really no way to grind and ascend the stakes on Global. Pretty much 1/2 2/5 is only game that runs regularly and when theres multiple tables its the same 10-12 players at all the tables through all the stakes. The player pool for cash games is so incredibly small and theres not really anyone too bad that theyre giving it away for people to go in big swings up or down tbh. The games seem so static and that theres no growth what so ever which caps every ones win rate when you have a bunch of winners and break even players just tossing rake back and forth.

I dont have any good suggestions how to fix this but globals player pool needs new players or its just going to fizzle out more than it already has and im not optimistic abou tit tbh.

I disagree, I think the volume of plo cash games has actually increased recently. I play pretty much ever day, and don’t struggle to find action.

There have definitely been dudes that are crushing and winning heaps on here. Games are good.

Yes I've also found the player pool has increased from 2/5 up to 10/20. It used to be the same 5 or 6 ppl who were constantly playing but now there has been a noticeable uptick in the rec players/players taking shots over their heads. A couple months ago it was different.

Tons of PLO action after 7pm EST. Also, is possible to grind and ascend. Large variety of skill sets in the mix. Recreational poker is alive and well.

Agree with this. I play a bunch after that time as well, and I find the pools to be a nice mix. Most of the “ok” regs are pretty bad as well which makes for good games even when Recs are offline.
