Act Banned & 10k+ Confiscated Act Banned & 10k+ Confiscated

04-03-2019 , 10:15 AM
Hi everyone,

I am a regular on Global Poker under the handle "SlappyMcSpade" and my account was recently banned and over 10k confiscated for "Chip Dumping."

I was trying to repay a debt and Global does not offer P2P transfers. Stupid me thought chip dumping was harmless. Their investigation led them to the conclusion that there was no collusion but in fact chip dumping. I was unaware this was grounds for banning and confiscation of funds.

I have been going back and fourth with support which literally takes 24 hours per response. No warning at all, just stole my money. I do not know what else to do other than turn to the forums.

Expect to lose. It's a clear violation of the T&C on GP and every single other site. Expensive lesson to learn, but surely one that will not be forgotten.

I would also like to state that this is a first time offense and no other players were affected during this process. I am a tournament player with the occasional 500-1000nl. I am at a loss for words over this. I find it ludacris that they can steal your money.

You chip dumped which is a clear breach of TOS. Some sites will offer a warning etc., but it is a slippery slope for them to be doing that. Really unfortunate and I feel bad for you, but they did not "steal" your money. You broke their TOS and they are well within their rights to confiscate your funds.

Slappy, do you remember the username of the person you dumped to?

Was it "donkinleezy"?

The only reason I ask is because he came to our Global Poker facebook group claiming ignorance and innocence in this situation as his account has been locked as well after playing heads up with you, and we are trying to figure out if he is lying or telling the truth about his innocence.

Seems clear now he's lying. Shocker.

I think you mean 'money laundering". And yes it was stupid. Best of luck getting it back. Be nice to support and stay on the case. Maybe, just maybe.....

Plus One.

Yeah every site will ban you for this. Next time just cashout and pay the debt that way....

That's kind of the funny part. it was like $300.

Now he's out 10K.

Dumb and dumberer.

Try paypal/bitcoin/venmo to transfer money next time they work great.

Perma banning you seems weird since I know someone else who got busted doing this exact thing and only got a temp ban but he admitted it right away and apologized and also didn't have 10k in his account.

Thanks everyone for the feedback. The situation has been resolved. I told them the truth and they gave me another chance. After a long week of back and fourth with the Security and Games Integrity departments they have unblocked my account and returned all confiscated funds. This was surely a lesson learned. I have nothing but kind words for Global and how they handled the situation. If ever a doubt in your mind, know that Global Poker security is on point.

Lesson learned, brother.

Glad to hear you got your funds returned, but that could have been an EXPENSIVE mistake.

Congrats. They have shown understanding on a fairly consistent basis when someone fesses up to a mistake. Glad it worked out for you and certain you won't forget.

Glad it was resolved. I think global security does a good job. Confiscating your funds would've been really unfair.

I'm sure you have no idea if any single person was happy for him and told you to **** off, but even if that's so, perhaps it's because they're...completely different situations! For a start, 0 money has been confiscated in your case. Any site has the right to choose who they do business with. They've chosen not to do business with you. They're under no obligation to tell you why. Get over it.

You didn't have any money confiscated and you've been beating a dead horse for months. It's annoying.

zzzzzzzzzz

To think its ok for a site to ban a player because they are winning too much is a moronic take. Even Pokertars doesn't do this and they're pure cancer. The next logical step would be to ban all winning players because winning players take money off the sight which ultimately hurts their bottom line.
