Hello fellow grinders! I am beyond excited for the Grizzly Games next month! I would like to propose a friendly team oriented challenge for series. 4 players per team playing against each other to win their share of the overall prizepool in the following 4 Categories:

1. Team with most Trophy wins. (25% prizepool)
2. Team with most money won. (25% prizepool)
3. Team with most final tables made. (25% prizepool)
4. Team with most overall combined cashes. (25% prizepool)

All NLH events will count towards leaderboard. (No PLO or Limit)
$35 per player ($140 per team)

Stonedlife (Jason Paff) will be escrowing this for us!

Right now we got 4 teams that will be competing:

Hmmm, why no PLO(or Limit)?? Can we change that?

I talked it over with the rest of the teams and we will have 1 player per team representing the squad for the PLO and LIMIT days.

Guys, hate to be a buzzkill but a team leaderboard for a tourney series is no bueno. Very easy to imagine a situation where play and outcomes will be affected for players not in a team.

Can the organizer please DM me here or on twitter ( @kalooki ) and we’ll see if we can come to some arrangement that will not compromise the integrity of the poker but will satisfy your urges to wail on each other.

Just sent you a PM David. We can simply not have any money or escrow involved and just record stats for fun.

Thanks For reaching out OP.

Will get back to you later (just about to board flight).

seems asinine to be concerned with this. there are 75+ events and its a 35$ buy in. it is obviously for fun.

@David can we get an update on the blind placement for HU play? I brought it up like 2 years ago and was told by a rep that the devs were aware and working on it. It makes starting tables beyond annoying especially when getting grimmed. Also I'm assuming surge is scrapped at this point as well.

Also, any job openings for developers at Global?

Yeah I don't get this either. People do it on other sites for series and is something that can't be controlled anyway. You as a site should be well equipped to detect collusion correct? Considering we can't even access HHs we should expect that you have full dedicated teams to bot detection and collusion.

Surge will be back once some minor bugs are resolved with the SC tables. The DEV team are based in Perth - Australia so might be a little far for you to commute to work :P

I don't have a date that I can give you, I can just tell you that it is on the list to be addressed. DM me what you sent 2 years ago (or link the post).

Send a general application to: https://www.vgw.co/careers/ and please tell them to forward to me. Bear in mind you almost certainly need to be able to work in Australia.

The issue is that people need to believe they are playing a straight game. You guys may all be on the up and up and play 100% as if the $35 was irrelevant, but the rest of the players on the site need to believe that too. If they see two players on the same team raising another player out of the pot, or folding light, then they have cause not to trust the games.

Multiple posts in the Global Improvement thread. I don't care to be right that it was brought up years ago. Just want to know that someone is aware and still attempting to fix it. The key issue is that when a table breaks (e.g., from 3 handed to HU play or something of that nature), the button will be given the big blind and then the next hand the button will stay the same and be given the small blind. Some players will then play a button twice and leave. Makes me and I'm assuming others not want to try to table start when this flaw is in your software.
