Don't discount the Christmas Donkey avatar for the Gold Coins promo on day 3!

Avatars aside, the GC Gold Coin Series payouts are also much flatter. So more money in them and it will also go out to more players. Not that they didn't end up doing this anyways because it always seems there are ties on that leader board as it was.

Suggest on one of the days they permanently make the rake at least comparable with other online sites.

Did anybody really have high hopes for this? $5 bonus...free play chips, etc. Same song and day as always...move along.

Days 4-6 (Monday-Wednesday) are out and oh Day 6 is going to be amazing.

Day 4: The daily $500 guaranteed Bonanza is now $1500.

Day 5: Play 15 Gold Coin SnGs and get a bonus 100,000 Gold Coins. They say "Hint: These 100,000 Gold Coins may prove to be very valuable for a later promotion." But, gold coins.

Day 6: Five special hyper-turbo tournaments with a special prize - if you play all of them and don't cash in any, they'll give you double your buyin plus a donkey avatar. Oh god this is such a delightfully terrible idea.

Also, while it's not on the website yet, there's a $10,000 $0.11 tournament on December 27th in the lobby that requires 1500 flops at any ring game.

What day are these??? I can't find them...

It should be on December 6th if they keep doing it how they have been doing it.

My understanding of day 6 promo is that you get twice the buyin for 1 tournament, not for all 5. So it wouldn't be +EV to try to lose until you have already busted 4/5.

Maybe I'm wrong though.

It does say double your "buy in" not double your "buy ins". With that said, I think I can see it either way. Would love to hear from a Global rep about this one, but I am not holding my breath. I think I will send off a support email though to clarify and will post results here if they respond in time.

Yes, it is double all of your buy-ins.

Just so you know the structure is that you will be all-in every single hand of the tournament so no ability to game it, it is just a little bit of fun.

Yeah thats a bummer.... At least all in or fold (which is how these usually end up playing anyway)... But all in no matter what that is a real bummer...

What is the amounts / what time will they be?

And since it is auto all in, once you buy in do you NEED to open the game or will it just play itself?

I played a few of these gold coins games in hopes of getting the Special Christmas Avatar and came up short not once... but twice... damn I ended up with two 2nd places and a ton of gold coins for future I just couldn't get there .. lol it was def a lot of fun trying though.

I actually forgot about it until it was too late. But second isn't too shabby, just don't spend all those gold coins in one place

The flip mtt format is a bummer. There's reverse strategy in losing... I almost thought about writing a book.
