These promos are LAME!

They could be doing nothing for their players, be grateful that they at least have some kind of promotion running.

If your bankroll is more than a couple hundred dollars these promos are the same as nothing at all. All the hype for a total waste of time (so far).

My bankroll is over $1k and I'm not complaining. Global isn't designed for the sharks, it's designed for the facebook recs and this promotion directly plays into their marketing strategy. I can only assume those that keep asking for rakeback and more handouts are likely struggling to beat the games consistently.

Those of us asking for RB everyday aren't losing players...lol. We are making global money.

Or have paid thousands of dollars in rakeback and helped table start when no games were running. All I'm asking for is some competitive rake when compared to other sites. People who want to extremely mass table and be rakeback grinders will do so at WPN most likely.

Ummm....no. The rec players that give a **** about getting $5 are NOT the ones playing above 10NL. Like us, I doubt the ones playing 1/2+ (like they do in a live setting) care at all about $5. Rec players don't only play 0.01/0.02 blinds!

And I don't care about rakeback, deposit bonuses, etc. I care that when a site makes a big deal about a promotion, that it isn't a totally useless one.

Never said I was a baller, or attempting to brag about my bankroll. It's nothing to brag about, merely pointing out to archosuars that someone with more than a few hundred dollars isn't complaining.

It shocks me though that so many people want to complain over a promotion that has cost them nothing. This is a company that could do nothing.

Yeah, the promos suck.. but if you have more than $100 in your account the promos aren't for you. Just be happy that global has such a good ecosystem still & stop crying about things that help the games. Thanks.

It looks like the website has been updated on the language. It now reads

"send us your username and a link to any $weeps Cash Ring Game hand today where you either won or lost a hand with 4 outs on the river and we will give you SC$5!"

That sucks, it's rather likely this will occur today if I run a hyper SnG session. Not worth my time though to try and get the link to the hand history and email them. c'est la vie

So this site cares more about the small stakes players who make them very little money, over the people who spend a huge amount in take? This site is destined to fail it that keeps up.

I'm sure people who have sub $100 in their poker account are EXTREMELY valuable to a poker site. Just think of all the dimes and quarters they pay in rake!!!

Very shortsighted. The high and mid stakes games have had a noticeable decline in traffic over the past few months. The games won't stay good forever.

Day 14: Bonanza guarantee increased $1000. This isn't even $1k added, it's just a guarantee bump.

Day 15: Send them a video of you singing a Christmas carol with "Global Poker" in it and win between $20 and $300 depending on quality. I might do this one, it's good for a laugh.

They had me until "quality". I'm afraid they would consider my singing a bad beat and remove money from my account.

It is $1K added. The Bonanza is $0.11 to enter and it is impossible to meet the guarantee at $500, since it is capped at 2000 entrants.

I didn't see it as mocking personally. I thought it was humorous myself. Not like slap my knee funny, but it for sure got a smirk out of me. Let's not make mountains of mole hills.

Claiming to report them to PayPal or other places also just isn't funny. Not saying you can't do it, just saying the humor isn't there. So really to make the comparison between the two things is a bit of a false comparison to me.

For instance, if the Global Rep came on here and made a joke of "We aren't going to cash you out" and then later said "Lol guys, I was just kidding" I think we would all agree that would cross a line. Why? Because they actually could do that. So then it isn't funny.

Your PayPal comments, in my opinion, likely weren't intended to be "funny" as you claim. I think they were much more likely a way to motivate behavior. And maybe you got what you wanted from them, who even knows. But let's not go back in time and paint with different brushes and say "Guys I was just joking".

I don't have a problem, btw with you saying you don't like them joking about doom switches, but to compare it to the times (multiple times if I recall) about you running to PayPal and smearing them on Facebook and say "It was all just in fun" is ridiculous.
