I actually liked ?/? the best.

Carry on. 1100+ posts and soon 1250! We can even guess what post he will have his next temper tantrum and threat to not post again.

It is true that if you construct an array x of all the cards, and construct an array x,y which is 52 different arrangements of x, that any array y will be different from an array x.

I don't think anyone here would dispute that. What we dispute are the following:

1) the probability of any value in y being a particular value cannot be determined - it can be and is still 1/52

2) the fact that y is a different array from x somehow has an impact on deals in online poker - it does not.

3) this x,y array, which is actually not a 52 by 52 array, but an infinite by 52 array, is different if created by randomly shuffling cards or created by a computer program - it is not.

That is because they may be good with numbers, but that does not mean they are good at the physics those numbers represent.

I understand random like no other. ?/52 is absolute random, 1/52 is absolute.

?/? is total randomness.

It is to do with boundaries and time, 52 is a boundary that repeats over time within an amount of time, it is inevitable and probably not as random as you think it is.

I never said that

it does

huh? not said that either

Whatever you say. Enjoy talking to yourself.

There are only two possibilities at this point:

OP is deliberately trolling nonsense to get reactions.
or
OP is mentally ill.

Maybe both.

It is what the physics says , not what I say. It is called objective facts.

Option 3, you only know your education and are not as smart as you think?

And you have said that the probability of a value in y would be ?/52. You have said this repeatedly.

And you have said that the array is different if created by a computer or by randomly shuffling a deck. If you don't think it is different, then there can be no difference between online poker and live poker, because everything would be the same.

I have a theoretical question for you; you have an infinite amount of decks with an infinite amount of cards in a continuous infinite shuffle (still 13 ranks, 4 suits). What is the chance of you pulling an ace of diamonds?

This is the problem in the array
I thought you said the results are undisclosed.

Option 3. It is a fraternity prank (or fraternity initiation).

Option 4. The other-worldly beings running this earthly simulation have taken a long lunch and haven't yet discovered that this simulation has reached a very uninteresting infinite loop. (I can't wait for them to hit the reset button.)

Option 5: This is all part of a psych experiment to see how long he can keep people going with this.

For some reason the fraternity prank comment (while made in jest), along with his I quit/I am back routine he did made me start to question my belief that this guy is not a troll rather than someone with a special issue (which unfortunately for him is likely due to genuine mental disease).

No idea why, but I don't think I ever searched other threads he has started here, but when I did just now I was impressed to see he had a 300+ post thread on the exact same stuff nearly 3 years ago (it was eventually locked). Prior to that he tried a bunch of tries to communicate his special message but they went nowhere, and all were locked within a dozen posts or so.

I may have to read the 300+ thread later to enjoy how much of it was repeated in this one, but that did remove any shred of doubt I had with regard to whether this person was a troll (or someone doing a fraternity prank) or a psych experiment or some other semi-rational reason. No comment on the other worldly beings as the Lizard Overlords do not allow that to be discussed.

He is not a troll. The guy tossed threads with this in the beginners and theory forums years ago. Those are not forums that get trolled. His other thread which lasted a while was in this forum (several people in this thread danced with him in it years ago, how did nobody mention that ), which again is not a forum for trolling.

Trolling with this topic does not even accomplish anything, like it would in a political debate or something else with passionate opinions on both sides. How angry are people going to get (aside from you ) about debating the odds of a coin flip.

Using rational thinking (this guy must be a troll) to break down someone who is irrational (yet organized within that irrational construct) will just lead you down an incorrect path.

I have no idea why you got so angry at this guy. It is like getting angry at the crazy guy on the street preaching to the clouds. No reason to really get mad unless you are a cloud, in which case just rain on him.
