How often is a cooler dealt in 4 handed poker How often is a cooler dealt in 4 handed poker

In sitngo's they usually pay 3. When the game gets down to 4 handed how often would two players get dealt a cooler? I know there is a ton of questions that need to be answered. Thing is if we can come to a consensus on those answers this would be a great thread.

A flip is not a cooler, but does achieve the same desired result in this situation. Player eliminated or deemed irrelevant (left with small stack). So should flips be included in the calculations?

Exactly Nick! Your question is one of the most important
to be answered and not sure if its mathematically doable.

You might define a cooler as a hand in which optimal play from everyone leads two or more players to get it in. Notice that the higher the blinds, the more often optimal play will dictate to get it in.

I honestly don't know if SnG's have been solved, at least for specific situations like yours (4-handed, likely small stack to blinds ratio). Maybe there exists some software or library that let you simulate hands, play them optimally and get the result. If so, you could run a simulation and see how often players go all-in and get called.

Surely you can put Nash push/fold ranges into a simulation for stack sizes of your choosing (assuming small enough stacks) and see how often an all-in is called? You could even just do conditional probabilities: 1-( player one shoves AND isn't called + player two...)
